Differences between this and the Aramide one? I really dig the aramide sice and weight... But the TMC one having the "original" markings it's so tempting
@@Alex-pb1iythat is completely false. It is literally the texture of the paint. It is NIR compliant, doesn’t reflect light, and even reduces radar signature. It’s the same paint they use on military ground vehicles. I dealt with the stuff when I was doing work for Sherwin Williams
You can wear it but I wouldn't trust it for extreme bumps, it's reinforced ABS and it's strong and flexible but it's better to use actual ski helmets than this. Looking cool is great and all but having your head intact is way cooler.
@@0bserver416 well, yes. But tactical bump helmets such as these that have ARC rails and extra stuff that might snag on a branch and possibly break necks.
Could you tell which shell is smaller in external-wise between the TMC and this new FMA one? I will be really appreciated since I'm looking for a smaller shell! Thanks
Is there any difference between this and the standard ABS version in terms of materials? From what I read they are both ABS but this one is just heavier.
Nope, it's ABS plastic. Ballistic helmets are usually made with composite materials (aramid fibre, Kevlar, AR 500 steel etc). This will help you prevent bruises and bumps to your noggin but it won't stop a bullet, not even a .22. Maybe buckshot, but I'm not saying you should go around and try it.
@@harris3295 yes birdshot. I meant birdshot. Buckshot is big and heavy and will most definitely destroy a cheap, non ballistic ABS plastic helmet at 20m.
It’s a cool replica not gonna lie. Please. Please. Please understand these Amazon or eBay replicas are not anywhere near the specs of a real ballistic helmet. If you wear this anywhere near shit is going down you will not survive.
IMO the worst pads are the emerson ones
First again? Lol, eyeing this version for quite some time now.

Why do ballistic helmets have that rough texturing? Is it to stop light from reflecting off of the shell?
From the material that the real ballistic material is made out of
Yes, it's to reduce light reflection.
It’s a coating to reduce spalling on impact with high velocity projectiles. Has nothing to do with reflecting light.

do a review on the FMA opscore SF thick and heavy
Would this work for real bump helmet? Protect your head from blows?
Yeah
Does the back padding at 2:10 replace the bigger bag padding that is already installed in the FMA helmets?
I wonder if you can wear it as a ski and snowboard helmet? Will it protect my melon if I fall just like ski helmet?

@@julian23561 Thanks for the advice!
But aren't ski helmets are made of ABS and types of plastic too?
@@0bserver416 well, yes. But tactical bump helmets such as these that have ARC rails and extra stuff that might snag on a branch and possibly break necks.
@@julian23561 Roger that.
Thanks for your observations and advices!
Stay safe!
why the NVG mount is located more higher that in original version?
The jar in the top right - is that how you fund your gear purchases? : D
Yep! Any time I say "Uh" or "Um" in my video, I have to add $0.37 to the jar. As you can imagine, it adds up to quite a lot!!

Hey man great video! How heavy is this helmet and is it comfortable? Would you suggest buying the regular version or the thick and heavy??
Maritimes are smooth in finish, and doesn’t have the small “dots” like the FMA one(Talking from experience with OC Maritime)
The real Ops-Core Maritimes I've seen have the textured beads, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Question? Why did you wast money on the airsoft helmet then bash it. Buyers be ware..
Rust-Oleum Stone textured spray paint + Krylon Khaki = almost perfect Ops Core Urban Tan finish.
Share some pictures.
M4C96 Yeah, I’d love to see that
That helmet can bulletproof?
I think its just a replica, a heavy version replica

all the ops core clone foam pads are horrific. wearing a cinder block on your head would feel better. 4D tactical pads are the answer.
thickness is good but lvl3 aramid version is better than this.

This doesn't have ballistic properties at all. Strictly for airsoft.
