Great video, Megan. You are most definitely an inspiration. I’m one of those people (just like you) who have been “pushed back” on their training and have to wait for a new start date. I’m so glad I saved a few months salary just in case, I remember your videos when you switched airlines!! Happy landings.
Do you ever changed currency before you leave or upon arrival? I feel like there is some destinations where ATMs charge you high fees for withdrawals..
At most of the hotels we stay in we have a system where we can take cash out at the reception desk which there is no charge for so if I ever need cash that’s what I do but most of the time I pay by card
Brilliant video, great information, I have my assessment day on the 23rd Jan, I excited but also nervous. I have all my fingers and toes crossed I can get through
Hi, I am choosing my options in school next week (I am in Year 9) and I am just wondering what subjects are best for cabin crew and what did you choose? Love your vlogs btw.
Hi! That’s amazing, best of luck 🤞🏼 unfortunately I can’t help you there as cabin crew wasn’t even on my radar when I was in school 🤣 I’m not sure what the options are in school these days but if there is anything to do with travel or customer service skills that would be a good option ☺️💕
this is a random question but i was wondering what you do about your phone when you travel? Cos obviously roaming internationally is crazy expensive? do you just leave your phone in airplane mode the whole time you’re away or do you have some sort of deal where you can roam cheaply cos obviously it’s part of your job? sorry it’s kind of a random question?
That’s a good question! I wondered the same thing before I joined! So I’m with o2 and they do have a package which includes worldwide roaming however, I can’t swap onto it until next year when I get my upgrade! So atm I just turn off my data if I’m outside of Europe and then just connect to Wi-Fi whenever there is any nearby!
Hello Megan I really enjoy your cabin crew videos I'm a 17 year old student who has passed and completed a Aviation Operations Level 3 diploma in college and next year I'll be doing a Level 2 cabin crew course, will you recommend going to a short haul airline such as Easyjet before applying to a long haul airline such as BA or Virgin or could I go straight to long haul? Thanks
Thank you so much ☺️ that’s amazing! Well done you ☺️ it’s totally up to you, personally I’m glad I started at easyJet because it got me used to the job before introducing the travel aspect but it’s fine to start with long haul if you want to ☺️🫶🏼
do you know when you stay over at another country and the day after when you have to go to the airport do you have to book a taxi or does the airline company pay for it?
I used to fly around the world delivering packages. All in biz class for 12 years. BA were always my airline of choice. Much better service than EK and VS.
Oh that pushback question…I feel that DEEP in my soul but finally getting my start date and being cleared to start is the BEST feeling!
Girl me too!
This was so helpful! I start in two weeks and still in my mind I thought the long hauls had no breaks etc! Very nervcited to start ah
So exciting for you! Best of luck with your training 😘
