The water looks dirty because there is a river nearby that flows out into the ocean and bring with it silt, raw sewage and lots of industrial chemicals from factories but I do agree the location is beautiful.

This is seawater. There is no river nearby running into this. No sewage or industrial chemicals from factories. Momi is a very rural area, with no factories or urban areas. It is off the highway. The nearest towns are 30-40 minutes drive. During her stay it was raining and flooding hence the murky water.

Your bungalow was amazing!!!!! I appreciate you sharing the reality with the murky/dirty water. I laughed when you were showing the potholes on the roads...our streets are just as bad where I live in California ha ha. I sure wish you would visit Tikehau in French Polynesia. The white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and custom huts look so nice!

We have a lot of Hindu and Buddhist temples here in Hawai’i. I always carry extra pareau’s aka sarongs. Thats all you need to cover yourself up.

Your travel vlog is awesome, you've got such a positive attitude about everything. I like that you went to the water company. They really need to give tours in the future. 😀

The water is extracted from underground right at the bottling plant. The whole complex is built around the underground boreholes from where the water is extracted.

Are you saying I shouldn't stop buying my favorite Fiji water? Because after seeing that I was having second thoughts about it. I know it's two different things but it still makes me wonder.

Hi Emily, I am in Fiji in September if you would like to come over. Momi Marriott where you stayed is a man made lagoon/water way which is why it looks soupy. There is another place in momi which it is much better. What is your schedule like. Do you have an Instagram link? I have lived in Canada for the past 15 years but home is always Fiji. Let me know! Cheers!

My best friend when I was in elementary school in Tokyo was the daughter of a Nauru diplomat! Maybe ambassador or something! Cant wait to see Nauru!

I’m not sure who was driving the car 😅 bcs you did grocery haul, eating the fries, holding the camera, recording the road at same time, but the other seat is empty

Just curious...why is your picture flipped? I noticed that in another one of your videos as well. When you're showing snacks...

Aloha! If it was raining a lot you probably caught it on brown water days. We have that here in Hawai’i, especially in bays, all da mountain goat and feral hog shit and run off from mauka (mountain) go downhill and create brown water. It cleans up later. Just don’t swim in it. Lepto!

Why people would spend thousands to go sit in a stagnant lagoon when you can pay a couple hundred and be on the outer islands where the water and reefs are unbelievable is beyond me.

Cool, my parents are from there. My uncle owned a hotel a bit outside of the Nadia Airport. Fiji is a nice place to go and relax, and its not really all that expensive to visit either. If you like to Scuba dive? Great places all around.
Also don't forget that if you happen to speak Hindi, there are some good deals to be had there as well with the Air BnB type places.
The small villages are also something to go see.
Not sure if its still that way, but there is this place that you have to walk across a VERY narrow metal beam just to get to the people who live on the other side.
Did that as a kid. Thought it was the coolest thing!
    GET OUT THERE TRAVEL!
Also, just about EVERYBODY speaks english and there is a US embassy there if you need anything us based or you lost your passport.
The price of this in current day October 2024 says it's about $300 a day.
    $1300 USD a DAY? That's insane.
Sure its nice, but even though I have the money, I just don't see this being a very good value.

We stayed there this year, the regular rooms are about $300 but the bungalows are usually $1300-$1500 depending on the season.

😂there are no water bungalows for $300/night. Especially not this place.

I love fiji and i have a house there in Maui Bay on the coral coast, but as far as a tourism experience goes, it's a shit hole. It's expensive and the food is bad, but as a place to live, it is awesome.
Sth East Asia is a much better cheaper place to have a short term tropical experience in.
Dont get me wrong, i want tourists to come here because it's good for the economy, but just be warned, it is a dump. But it is the best dump in the world, especially if WW III breaks out👍
