I've said this before, that I don't know which scares me more, that we will see the country get into another civil war, or.....that we won't. By far the best take on this I have seen so far. Looking at what is and not what should be. I would suggest to stay clear of categorizations like the Rural vs. Urban divide, as it excludes people that are actually on your side. The real divide in a struggle against authoritarian collectivism is between creators and takers. Your 10% intelligentsia on the left you reference are either employees of the state or have reached financial escape velocity. A large portion of the rest in one form or another is highly dependent on the state or direct subsidies. Social Welfare (subsidies, student loan forgiveness,…) and Social Media are the new panem et circenses
Hey Dick, thanks for another great video. I have some insight on the RI mass situation as I was a police officer in RI for years. Worked the polls on several elections. The county system really isn't applicable there due to its size. There's sizable cities in every county and the rural areas are close enough to the city where all the rich white liberals buy land and large houses. Western RI is largely farmers, heavily forested and country people. Unfortunately, the population numbers wise means that their votes are meaningless. Every election, state or federal was called prior to my towns polls even being closed and the votes delivered to the state board of elections. Apparently the population was so outnumbered numbers wise every western towns votes were essentially meaningless compared to providence, warwick etc. Mass is largely the same. Rural people don't get any say or vote in how their life operates. This lead to passing of widesweeping gun control legislation, outraged taxes, etc. Etc. And ultimately led me to move to Maine. I'd love to converse further about some of the topics you cover. Do you have a website or a public email? Thanks for all you're doing with your content. Really enjoy seeing your videos. My daughter has lived in RI for 20 years and I have spent a fair amount of time there and in MA. This is all mostly common sense to me, and I have held essentially the same views as you have laid out here for quite some time. Looking forward, however, I do not believe that a civil war is likely. Civil unrest, definitely, but not a civil war. At least 10 million illegal aliens have crossed into our country since Beijing Biden took office. Perhaps 90% of them, maybe even 95% of them, are just here to find work and a better life, but out of such huge numbers, if even 5% are potentially enemy combatants - and I believe that’s a realistic and even a conservative assumption - that is a force larger than any standing military outside of the US, China, Russia, and India. What I expect to happen is that: 1. At the actual Democratic convention, Biden will withdraw from the race for “health reasons”. He will be replaced by Michelle Obama at the top of the ticket. 2. Contrary to what many Democratic party leaders and media hacks may believe or say, their real chances of winning with Chewbacca (my own name for Michelle Obama) aren’t any better than they would have had with Beijing Biden. When their internal polling tells them this as the election draws near, they will turn loose their illegal alien thug army in many major cities to sow maximum chaos to be used as a pretext for suspending the election indefinitely. Past that point I have no idea how things will look when the dust settles. Once this happens, it won’t so much be a “civil war” but rather a “revolutionary war” of patriotic Americans versus the Marxists and their stooges. A few years ago the Sheriff of my county, Racine Wi, found a case in one of the nursing home that absolutely unraveled. America’s PROFESSIONAL MILITARY ETHOS: As a two decade military officer and a distinguished senior war college graduate (National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces), I can confident suggest that most commissioned officers, with whom I am acquainted, take their sworn duty to “support and defend the Constitution of the United Sates against all enemies, foreign and domestic” VERY seriously. It is a lifelong and a sacred commitment. Moreover, unlawful orders will not be obeyed, as stipulated in the UCMJ (among many other laws and directives). Therefore, notwithstanding the weaponization / politicalization of senior Pentagon officials, I rather doubt that many officers commanding (let’s say) battalions will execute directives that clearly contravene statutory or Constitutional mandates.

The city folks need to understand this crystal clear before they come out to the rural areas. Out here, we take deer at 500-600 yards and further consistently, we take smaller game with a 22 easily all day. Usually the accuracy of the rural folks is nothing to play with and we can hide from wild game to the point where they walk within feet of us. Is that something they want to tangle with, not hardly because the large majority of these people have no tactical training to top it off. My advise, have your fun in those big cities, do not try your luck out here, you wont make the ride home.

As a two decade military officer and a distinguished senior war college graduate (National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces), I can confident suggest that most commissioned officers, with whom I am acquainted, take their sworn duty to “support and defend the Constitution of the United Sates against all enemies, foreign and domestic” VERY seriously. It is a lifelong and a sacred commitment. Moreover, unlawful orders will not be obeyed, as stipulated in the UCMJ (among many other laws and directives). Therefore, notwithstanding the weaponization / politicalization of senior Pentagon officials, I rather doubt that many officers commanding (let’s say) battalions will execute directives that clearly contravene statutory or Constitutional mandates.
I say essentially what you say about our military in all 3 parts of my dissertation. One anti commenter referred to the military's oath to "protect the country." That illustrates the ignorance of the left. I have sworn the same oath several times when joining the army and when appointed to several law enforcement positions, to "support and defend the CONSTITUTION." Thank you for your service, sir.
And I thank yours for yours,sir. My dad was an FBI SA, I served in the Navy, and both of us did so for the same fundamental reason. Specifically, individuals have to “pay their dues” to ensure our freedom and domestic tranquility. We’ve lost much of that, both police department and armed forces recruiting are both hurting, simply because politicians, the media, and elitists of all types denigrate this type of indispensable service to America and its people. IMHO, financial compensation isn’t the most critical issue, respect and appreciation are.

The city folks need to understand this crystal clear before they come out to the rural areas. Out here, we take deer at 500-600 yards and further consistently, we take smaller game with a 22 easily all day. Usually the accuracy of the rural folks is nothing to play with and we can hide from wild game to the point where they walk within feet of us. Is that something they want to tangle with, not hardly because the large majority of these people have no tactical training to top it off. My advise, have your fun in those big cities, do not try your luck out here, you wont make the ride home.
