This whole video was worth watching to see Jack step up and help those boys with their bike. Your doing it right Mr. Wranglerstar.

My favorite part of that video was watching the older brother help the younger brother get his bike up the hill, he didn't even ask for help, it was given without hesitation. As a father with boys, its pretty heartfelt, I am my brother's keeper.

Beecozz7 Actually, Jack helped on the first incline, the boy's older brother helped on the last part. So you are both right... and also right to be thinking about how that is so unfortunately rare these days in an urban setting.

Truly great to see families starting to realize what is really needed for happiness. I can assure you that what I feel when I see boys playing, and the wilderness being the playground, I truly see God's handy work and what he intended for all of us.

Cody and Family, I thank you all so much for what you do for everyone. We are so blessed to have folks like you guys to impart such wonderful knowledge and for you to find it in your hearts to shine the blessings of The Father on all of us. I realize how trying it must be at times for you all to dedicate so much to the channels and to others. But may the Father continue to bless you all. I would love to have an opportunity to meet you all and to fellowship with such wonderful people. Just in sharing the blessings bestowed upon all of you you have inspired me to try and straighten my own life out, it has been far too long since I have looked to the Father. I will not go into the details of my life unless you asked me to but thank you for inspiring me to find the strength to be a better, father, husband, person, and Christian.
    Many Blessings
    Ethan from Wyoming.

We are currently building our house in the country, where I grew up. I cannot wait to get my boy out in the woods where he belongs. Piss on this computer, video game era. We played in the creek for almost 2 hrs yesterday after working on the pole barn. Did my heart good to see him play in the same creek I did as a child.

Cody, I am a long time viewer, first time commentor. In fact, I have never commented on any medium on the internet. I really felt the need to say thank you to you and your family. I too am in the process of starting a homestead and can appreciate the amount of work that it takes to do what you do. I often think about filming some of my projects but the amount of work and extra time is mind boggling. You have a true gift and have touched many peoples lives in many ways. I hope you continue the great content as well as your ablity to mix in your faith into your videos. Thanks again.

Today is chilly here in the NE mountains, so I am using my wood cookstove and it isn't even
quite freezing outside yet. The stove's been here for almost 50 years, and it's at least 100 yrs old and in excellent condition. Yes .... an entire blessing to us for cooking and for the extra heat in the winter. It takes energy to get the wood, and some attention to keep it a good temperature. I love the flexibility of heat when cooking a large meal. I love it so getting used
to it was a pleasure. We do use a gas stove for the hot months, and I appreciate that too, and would recommend having one just in case! We did have H2O hooked up but it was not
as reliable, so have it unhooked now .. and use an electric water heater. Hope you love your
stove and that nice new home !

I love cooking on fire. My mother came over and she said she needed me to cook some bread with dinner. While we ate I heard stories from her childhood I never heard before.
It really isn't something you can learn from a book, you can learn from someone but there are so many variables you have to deal with through trial and error.

It is a good thing you feel recharged, as upbeat as you try to be in your videos you can where you were slowly being dragged down. As you have said running your channel is a lot of work, and having people creating unneeded drama doesn't help matters.

Wow! that is a nice wood cooking stove. I would think that would be quite a costly investment for new homesteaders. On my family's off grid homestead ( going on 39years this next spring) We have an old WW2 Army wood/ coal cook stove with 8 burners that we us most of the year round. It can cook two 20lb turkeys side by side in the oven or 8 loaves of bread. We had a family of 8 so we had to do a lot of cooking on it. It would get so hot some times we would have to open most of the windows even in the winter to help cool the house down. It is by far the best wood stove I have ever seen even compared to todays newer stoves.

  • @breeziedreamz

Wow, what a great stove. I just looked it up, and with all the extras they put on with it, it cost a bundle. Of course, that will be offset by not having to pay for the electricity over the life of the stove. It will seem like a bargain after a few years of savings. I would love to have one of these!

My father used to get old cast iron wood stoves for free from people who were modernizing their homes. We always had a half dozen in the back yard trying to find homes for them. We also tested out a few of the nicer models. It was not too hard to cook most things on top and the oven was relatively easy to use. Using all cast iron cook wear helps to regulate the heat. That includes using cast iron roasting pots for the oven. We did a few stupid things though, like burning coal once (melted a stove in the garage) and dropping an old "wet" rag into the firebox and finding out that one of us had just soaked it with solvent to clean something. Shot fire out of the chimney like a rocket.

100% Cody. Nobody gave me anything and my wife and myself are 100% free of debt. I retired 3 years ago at 57 and enjoy my time with the Grandkids, mostly. I learned welding (certified) , electrical, soldering and plumbing, woodworking, metalwork (don't get to do much of that, now.) and logging (as a homeowner). I was an EMT then a Paramedic (Volunteer) for 15 years, I have belonged to the West Webster Fire Department for 27 years ... nobody "gave" me these skills ... I worked for them, I went to school for them. The people that whine and cry ... need to get off their butts and better themselves.
To you and yours ... may God bless
