WREATH LAYING CEREMONY FOR THE FALLEN HEROES AT KOHIMA, NAGALAND
Kohima, July 12: #Assam #Rifles organised " #Wreath Laying Ceremony" at Unit War Memorial in Kohima, Nagaland on July 11.
The event was held to remember and honour the fallen heroes Rifleman (General Duty) K #Sonwal who made supreme sacrifice on 11th July 1987 at Zakhama, Kohima District, Nagaland in an ambush by militants, stated in a press release issued from Assam Rifles HQ IGAR (N), Kohima.
A total of 3 Officers, 20 JCOs and 230 ORs paid rich tributes to the gallant soldier who made the supreme sacrifice battling against the insurgents on the line of duty.
On the occasion of Wreath Laying Ceremony, Commandant spoke to the family of the braveheart and conveyed gratefulness to the families of fallen heroes, the messages stated.
