Back in the day the locals in Mexico requested a lime with the bottle of beer so they could use the lime to clean the top of the bottle before they drank it. There was a chance that some mold may have grown on the bottle near the cap. Let's just say that the production machines were not like they are now. But it was not to ad flavor. But the tourists saw them doing it and copied them, thinking they were adding lime juice for flavor. Lol, not so much. But it did taste good and the tradition was born. Cheers!

      @@7-ten
Tape would work, but it can get gooey and migrate with gravity on warm surfaces like the wax melter.
It will cover the annoying light, but if it *looks* like you put tape on it, and/or it slips down, and it gets your fingers tacky when you handle it there...that would be a fail.
Tape is great in cool, dry, and hidden areas. I have some on a ridiculous 'power on' light for an extension cord. The blue light is unreasonably annoying, so I taped it and tucked it under the sofa.
But this melter face is to be looked at, right on the front. I'd opt for a cleaner more heat resistant option.

Like the forward facing camera lens covers. Yes, I've seen them.
Just about everyone has access to a sharpie, but light/lens covers cost money and have many of the same issues as tape.
If you own many items with silly little lights, that could be worth it.
The internet taught me how to disable the piezoelectric beep makers in most small appliances, but squirreling the lights isn't as cut and dry, or I'd do that, too.

The egg cracker has earned two permanent spots in my kitchen. For cooking, it never breaks the yolk and the shells always crack cleanly, so no shell bits to fish out. It’s simple, no fuss, and works every time. Winner!

It's better to crack eggs on flat services. This should also help you do it one handed. Tap the egg on the flat part of your counter, use your thumb to gently squeeze the side of the egg and your fingers to separate the two halves. Index and middle for top and ring and pinky on the bottom. When tapping the egg, you want to crack the shell but not rupture the membrane. I want to see you pull this off in one of your videos.

eh, not really. Whether it's useful is down to the individual, but cost-wise it's a bit more complicated than just "IT PLASTIC, THAT MEAN IT CHEAP". High quality plastic isn't actually all that cheap, then factor in you're paying for food safety certifications, packaging, distribution, etc. and it's really not all that shocking. If I had to guess they're probably making a ~4usd margin including all direct and indirect costs, potentially less if the MSRP is lower than what was paid for here. (for instance MSRP of 9.99)
That's not nothing since it's about a third of the total cost, but all things considered it's nowhere near bad. Even if you 3d printed it yourself with 100% infill which would not be food safe, dishwasher safe, and may melt on you if you set a hot spoon on it, you'd still be looking at probably 1-2usd+ worth of material alone. That would be a 10x cost reduction, but at that point the product can't even do it's job anymore since the materials and production methods your using just aren't fit to task. (not to mention that's sidestepping aaaaallll of the other costs, like distribution, certification, etc.)

I like the idea of that mini fireplace/wax warmer, but it's a bummer that it only really looks okay straight-on. I also remain baffled with egg crackers - I just drop my eggs into the pan/bowl from about 12" above, or onto a clean surface if I'm going to mix them into something. I almost never get shell shards, and I've yet to break the yolk.

Yo! So my brother got these pans. "Life time" brand. Theyre apparently ridiculously expensive, but they stack, and hold heat really well. Like he can heat things up, and if he needs an eye, he can put a lid on it, and it holds heat so well, that it will continue to cook for some hours, off the heat. Hes put things in the fridge, and taken them out a couple hours later, and a plume of steam will come out of pot when he removes the lid. Theyre really some type of weird alien technology from the 50s. But yeah do a review on them, if you have a spare thousand dollars. If how ridiculous can build a girlant helecopter bat, you can buy some pans

Or the $15+ Snack memory game that you can't fit more than like 2 tiny pieces of any snack in. They should have gone with 12 trays in a 3x4 grid. Make it easier for the kids who randomly pick, rather than the better go in order (like he does in this video), as well has allowing for the trays to be able to hold a more reasonable sized snack.
