EDCO's Fastest Garbage Man - Recycle

- Watch the pace this guy works at, and then consider the fact that he's over 40 years old.
This is from the same day that I filmed this video in January 2018. Francisco here does a load of yard waste in the morning and comes back in the afternoon to do recycle, which is lighter but takes considerably longer.
The truck is one of EDCO's EDGE (copy of Amrep) front loaders on an Autocar WXLL chassis. Shortly after I filmed this, I came back and saw a pair of CNG Autocar ACX trucks with CWS (Maxon copy) bodies, freshly repainted after being sent down from PARK Disposal.
Always love seeing more of Fransisco. It’s always weird seeing videos from this street after I filmed the route from beginning to end lol. Never have had deja vu from other people’s videos before, at least in terms of background / route.
Yeah this is just one of those legendary routes that you’ll see in lots of people’s videos. Francisco is just a god amongst men. never fails to impress me
This is how recycle should be done if not semi-automated. And recent events involved around the recycling market can reinforce that statement lol. Just as entertaining as the green waste vid, and not a bad strategy he does at the end using someone else's manual bin for the small bits at those 2 houses.
Thanks! I totally agree you need to have some separation of contaminants at the curb if possible. It’s not fast or east to do it so I understand why they don’t bother

Thanks! Manual is all but gone these days. If we really want to get technical it’s EDCO’s fastest yard waste and recycle dude, but that won’t fit in a title box
Real cool! Surprised EDCO still does a recycling route like this! Surprised they have an FL and not an RL or an MSL doing this route! Enjoyed it a lot!
RLs aren’t really a thing at EDCO lol they’ve been phasing out the last MSLs recently because these are generally faster, minus the power lines issue on some routes. What will do this route in 10 years is anyone’s guess

He's a little rough with some of the smaller bins. But when you move at a quick pace that happens. I used to catch myself doing it sometimes when I was really moving. lol This guy is a great employee.

Great video! Really admire this guys speed, especially for his age. Although I’m not the type of person who likes these California style FLs, these Edge’s have really made me think differently. That little ULINE branded Otto at 7:35 was really cool too, that’s one cart I wouldn’t mind having. I feel bad for the driver, I feel like it might be easier to drive from the left hand side but I doubt the truck is configured to do so. All the different shots you got really jazzed the video up too, I really enjoyed that! Excellent job, liked and faved!!
He could drive from the left, but he’d just be fighting with the door the whole time. It might actually be easier depending on how good your knees are. I love seeing the bins on this street, there’s so many oddball tubs and little carts like that you just don’t see on automated routes. Thanks for watching!

Yes sir the regular trash is all manual. Unfortunately the guys working the trash route that day didn’t take too kindly to being filmed
