Love this card great job thanks
Thank you so much...this is the first shutter card directions that actually worked for me! I was able to make a great card for my grandsons birthday! He is going to love it!
Hi Heather, I am so glad you were able to make the card successfully. That's my goal. I am sure he will be tickled
WOWEE!! ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL CARD CREATION! What a brave soul you are with demonstrating this one! :-)). TRICKY, TRICKY but OH, SO CLEVER!! And you MADE IT SEEM PRETTY EASY with your clear n’ concise directions! I’ll admit that even tho’ I LOVE THE DESIGN I AM apprehensive to “give it a shot”!! Haha! Think I’ll watch your video several times BEFORE I “jump in’!! Haha! Thank you for “researching other videos” out there and “trying some ideas” FIRST before putting together this one for all of us, thus giving us “the best ways” to recreate the card! As always, Linda, TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’ n’ RESEARCHIN’, too! Have a lovely day! :-)
You will have to let me know if you tried it and how it came out.
Hi Linda, I've lurked for a long time, but rarely comment. This card however came at such an opportune time & sparked that "I have to make this right now" attitude. The shutter does remind you of an old time camera aperture. I have a photo buff brother traveling with his wife due home (w 100's of pics). The outside I think my sentiment will read a simple Thinking of You on world map paper & inside the shutter - Welcome Home! TFS - I do enjoy your videos. Looking forward to your tips & tricks series.
Thank so much Mare! I agree it reminds me of a camera. you will have to let me know how the card is received. Warmly, Linda B.
Cards turned out really nice...I remember doing this technique a way back nice to see it back ...tfs
Yes there are so many from the past it is fun to bring them back some of the younger folk don't know the techniques.
Really nice card. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Babsie, Thank so much for watching.
Beautiful card thank you.
Thank you Janet!
Amazing! Thank You
I'm no math wiz but 2 3/4" x 2 = 5 1/2". I believe you meant to say your second measurement to find the center of the shutter pieces should be marked at 1 3/4". Also, if you centered your die over the shutter opening cutting side up and placed a bit of tape on the die, sticky side up you could place your DSP piece in place and the die would then be stuck to the back side of the DSP. You would avoid all that measuring and be assured your circle was placed perfectly.
You are absolutely right and my screen note correcting my measurement somehow didn't come through on the video. About the rest there are lots of ways to get the placement right. One person even suggested making a template to make it easier next time. Thank so much for watching.
@@LindaInkandIngenuity A template is a great idea! I just try to think of ways to not have to measure everything. I never much liked math although being a crafter, seamstress, and cook well. . . . it's math all the time. :)
Elisabeth Dowd, Yes you did pick hobbies where there are definitely math elements, sigh, me too.
It’s a nice card idea! What is the tool you used for picking up the sequence?
Very cool card
Thanks so much for watching. Linda B.
Can you save the cut out pieces and use them as templates for future cards?
I think that is a terrific idea Jacqueline. I love templates it makes it so easy to recreate. Thanks so much for watching.
So slow!!
I know! Most of my viewers want step by step. Don't you love fast forward. Thanks for watching.
