I caught them twice in my lifetime -- this song, is downright frightening when Eric was singing it. If Edgar Allan Poe was to front a doom metal band, it would be Trouble.
the forgotton metal gods of the 80's!!these tunes bring me back to my youth 5-6yrs old like a time machine!!haha fuckkk yeeeaaahhh-trouble forever......wdsta1
These guys are amazing I love the way they sound live just like it was meant to be played loud and not rushed and even the words of the songs give hope to every one that there is more to life then just dying and its over no there is more like heaven and I know one day I will go to heaven
Yeah, these guys always came up with good riffs. I had the skull album and run to the light album. The bible references along with their deep black sabbath-like bass was pretty Darn powerful.
Love this band-pretty sad they have a new singer.-how can you call yourself trouble without the original singer. sorry if Eric s not in the band it aint trouble.
13 Be kind to me, God; I've been kicked around long enough. Once you've pulled me back from the gates of death, 14 I'll write the book on Hallelujahs; on the corner of Main and First I'll hold a street meeting; I'll be the song leader; we'll fill the air with salvation songs. 15 They're trapped, those godless countries, in the very snares they set, Their feet all tangled in the net they spread. 16 They have no excuse; the way God works is well-known. The cunning machinery made by the wicked has maimed their own hands. 17 The wicked bought a one-way ticket to hell. 18 No longer will the poor be nameless - no more humiliation for the humble. 19 Up, God! Aren't you fed up with their empty strutting? Expose these grand pretensions! 20 Shake them up, God! Show them how silly they look.
I think these guys addressed God in the same way black sabbath, jethro tull, dio and om all addressed God. Not necessarily in a Christian way but in a way that truly is God. Using bible verses was probably just a way of reiterating certian aspects of the bible that they agreed with. Religion isn't bad, radicals are bad. End rant
Farewell Eric, may you rest in God's peace. And thank you for the wonderful music you gave us!
Amen. :'(
