Over and over again in Ecclesiastes, the theme is reinforced that life is short, we will soon perish, and much of what we do under the sun during these brief years is actually a bit meaningless. When I take an honest look at myself, I see that many of my ambitions are tainted by impure motives. I see that I put too much value on things that are not of eternal importance. I see that many of my dreams and pursuits are simply vanity. This song was written as a prayer. It's a confession of sin and a plea for renewal. It's an acknowledgement that I fall desperately short, and need God to make my heart long for things of true worth.

I'm living this song. "I need You more than anything, but I cling to a million other lesser things. So much of what I'm chasing is simply vanity". I know that, my spirit knows that, but I have just let my flesh to drive my life... And everytime it gets harder to trust God, because worldly things on my sight turn off the desire to seek him and obey him.
We all have seasons where we drift away from what we KNOW is true. God stands ready to take us back. I just read a great verse from Isaiah - "Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." - Isaiah 55:6-7. I find that so powerful, that God invites people back with readiness to show ABUNDANT compassion EVEN though we've been wicked and unrighteous towards Him. God's mercy is bigger than our iniquity. Go to Him in whatever state you're in and simply pray and read the Word as regularly as you can. I believe he can take the weakest gestures of repentance and make our hearts change if we just come to Him with sincere, weak, desire to change.

I'm glad to say that God has helped me these days and He has brought a change in my life and in our relationship. That's certainly true: we gotta remain on his word and keep seeking Him, and He'll do what He knows to do in us.
Then don't be disobedient and stop allowing your flesh overcome you.. You have to overcome the flesh.. Get in the Word and study it.. Dnt make excuses for yourself
