The ordeal of St. Kizito still lingers in our memories. I know a couple of men involved in that heinous act. They just live a miserable pathetic life.

When you introduced the topic, I remembered St Kizito Girls and glad this was the case. Our high school, Kaaga Girls integrated the Form Fours in our school. They stayed in the dorm I was the prefect, and the trauma these ladies had. May God strengthen them and continue resting the souls of our departed. People must respect life.
Whaaaat!!! You encountered some of them? I can’t even begin to imagine the psychological trauma they went through.
I also lost my auntie in that incident

Sad that there are human beings who despise jobs like bbc (British Butt Cleaning) please note, hiyo janta, is feeding a family back home and supporting someone's upkeep/school while abroad with PERFECT systems that value that job and paying taxes in those countries doesn't hurt because they REALLY work!!

It’s also because care work is just entirely devalued socially & structurally (because done by women :/ )even though it’s very difficult work physically and emotionally. Not to mention that you’re having to endure racism in these countries

I remember this story like it was yesterday. When you mentioned the school name I knew exactly what happened. Very Sad story and a significant marker of the Moi era!
Having worked around the school some years ago I can confirm that most of the criminals are dead and mad. I know one who's disturbing us currently in our neighborhood in Meru. He gets insane during the harvest seasons. A very stupid man.

This story also reminds me of the inferno tragedy at kyanguli secondary school in machakos county on 24th march 2001 whereby 67 students succumbed to fire. Sad.
So sad...the lives of young children with a bright future were cut short. Very heartbreaking.

What she told me is diaspora si mbaya just have focus you might come back home richer or poorer than you left yes we laugh at the jobs they do but that job pays very well.
And it's true going there was a lesson. Kenyans tukona so many opportunities but we take them for a joke. We laugh at those taking those chances seriously.

Oh, and just for the record, most of the Kenyans in the developed world immigrated because of the demand in their skills and now have highly esteemed jobs (doctors, engineers etc) - case in point, my first job role here was already higher than what I held in Kenya!!!
