As a Warframe player 1 BIG tip for modding I can give is to upgrade EVERY mod to at least level 1 so you can separate them from dupes at a glance so you never accidently sell them. cause you WILL get s FUCKTON of dupe mods to sell for Kuiper Shards used for upgrading other mods
as a guy that played destiny for years, i missed Mtashed, im taking a break from it and picked this game up and was super happy to see him again in a game im playing
substats wont matter until you start getting max level gear, substats DONT level up with the weapon level transmission, i had a young noble with 3 yellow stats, leveled it up to 45 from like 10 or so and all the substats were now grey and the substats themselves stayed the same, just junk everything, maybe once you get to a few levels to max or max gear it wont matter as much, but dont keep gear from early and mid game with the exception of ultimate gear, dont waste your mats on leveling up anything but the ultimate weapons.
On the subject of mods, I'd recommend first and foremost, in this order, upgrading these mods. Any sub attack mod for your descendant (This increases Descendant mod capacity based on its rank), then Max HP and Defense mods for descendant (Shields are currently a waste of investment since they recover so slowly and break so quickly anyway), then finally Firearm Attack % for the two types of guns you use the most (I prefer White Ammo and Green Ammo weapons). Firearm Attack % is INCREDIBLY important once you get to the level 50+ parts of your initial progression and is borderline mandatory to be able to defeat Executioner and Pyromaniac bosses, which both act as quite tough progression roadblocks. Remember that increasing your Firearm Attack % is also going to be increasing the efficacy of all other firearm mods, such as Critical Hit, Elemental, and Weak Point bonuses. Adding 8% Chill Elemental damage when fighting Pyromaniac is a lot better if your Base Firearm Attack % mod is higher leveled. It doesn't really make sense to ignore firearm mods just because you're replacing your guns so much, since a percentage increase that transfers from your previous Assault Rifle or Machinegun to the new one is only going to become that much more effective as the base stats start getting higher. It also helps to avoid falling into traps that waste your resources early on. Many guns right now don't have good enough critical hit stats to justify modding around them, but base damage % is always going to have value. Similarly, survivability for your descendant is more important to upgrade rather than using mod slots on 9% bonuses to other less important stats. It seems like some mods only really get real value once they're somewhat leveled up, and your initial priority should be to have high level HP, Defense, and sub-attack mods. What I don't understand is why would one choose one particular Sub Attack mod over any others, as I haven't seen a big damage or mobility difference between Shock Punch, Shortsword, and Kicking even when leveled. I even found one later on called Dual Claws, and I'm hesitant to level it up as it could just be a waste to level it when my maxed Shortsword works well and gives me 10 capacity.
Just hearing you talk makes me feel like there is no meta or the community doesn’t know what endgame looks like yet. Makes me excited to make mistakes and just enjoy the game. Figure it out for myself other then vids like this
Thanks for the video, I was confused and sat in the menu for so long looking at the weapons over and over because another UA-camr said to do it to not regret getting rid of weapons.
I'm glad this video was made, cuz it basically details out what the whole idea of what an RPG is! What all these games are about! Where do you think RPG's came from? Wayyy back before they had Personal Computers, or PC's, there was a board game, among others, call "Dungeons & Dragons". It was a board game consisting of a board, like monopoly, a pair of dice, and cards! Those statical cards was the bread and butter of it all! That's what made them come alive! They were literally jammed packed with statistics about the characters, character classes, races, monsters, strengths, weaknesses, origins, etc. What do you think "RPG" stands for? Of course, "Roll Playing Game"! It was adopted and adapted from China into western culture, and into a board game, with an influence coming from J.R.R. Tolkiens Fantasy books, and now referred to as AD&D! So yeah, stat cards is what made it all happen. Without these stats in the game, this wouldn't be an RPG! So understanding how these these stats work, will make the game more than just an FPS shooter! Or a Tiktok video of Bunny, Lol!
The substats on low level gear doesn't matter. When you level up the weapon it just raises the damage, it doesn't raise the substats, so you will need to reroll the subs anyway.
But bringing the weapon level up lets say from lv9 to lv 30, sub stats (the 4 affixes)are still in the lv9 pool, even reroll the sub stats after levelling up to lv30, the % pool is still not upgrading to lv 30 pool. Am I doing something wrong please?
@@geoffreylau4172the sub stats are fixed to the level 9 gun. No matter how high you level the gun or even if you reroll sub stats done get boosted to the new level
Don't lock weapon with "good" substats for later.. they don't matter. They will stay the SAME value when you use weapon transmission, meaning they will be garbage. (a golden rolled value will become grey)
For module peeps in TFD there is a scrap duplicates option 13:46 look in bottom right. You will see the option it will always leave one remaining of that duplicate.

Especially for weapons, unless you like a certain weapon, I agree on keeping the idea of "Floor is Lava" tactic. Thanks for the advice jumping to the other weapons, did not think about that
My advice on Gun mods just prioritize upgrading the Atk mod first then think about the other mods later...and reserve atleast 6 mod space for attribute atk in order for you to contribute in bosses if you have the mod the boss is weak to and some maps also have specific element weakness atleast you are flexible...your guns and mods will be better at endgame which you will need to really adjust your loadout per situation....and guys sometimes use the laboratory if you unlocked it there you can test things.... 1 thing I'd like to add is, bunny when played well is awesome when not its a noob trap. She gains no weapon xp from running around with the aoe field pulsing killing everything. Use someone else for weapon mastery points
Thank you for explaining the weapon substats and how to identify the rolls worth keeping. Was trying to find that info last night and couldnt. A question I still have for later down the road is transcendant weapons and exotics. Do they have the same substat stuff/use the same upgrade materials? Also, what, if any, is the benefit of the "ultimate" versions of the characters? Is it just a skin or do they have better stats? Are they treated as separate characters for mastery?
Usually these TIPs videos for most games are just "content come-ons". Your Video is really Genuine in the way that you really did give the most relevant, helpful, insights. I have three characters and leveling well into the game yet I watched your video out of amazement that you actually hit the naili on the head with these tips. Well done.
Also, if this is anything like warframe, i wouldn't worry about maxing out mods in the beginning. For the longest time in warframe, i had my primed mods leveled to level 8 of 10 because the cost was so high before Endo (mod leveling resource) was introduced. I'm not sure if this game is going to be the same, but you might be better served putting those resources into another mod until you get them all to a certain point. Not sure if there are dminishing returns and all that.
In Warframe I always kept one mod at every level. That way I was always set not only for different builds, but when leveling other characters. Either every level or if there are different break points(you might have to wait one more level to switch, but that means you can keep less total mods).
There are so many materials needed for all the different characters and weapons it’s kinda overwhelming. It doesn’t bother me that much as far as the quantity, but the research timer is a big bummer. When you finally get that item to drop so you can craft, it’s a big “oof” when you find out you have to wait 18 hours to use it. With that said I’m still interested enough in this game and it’s got my attention for now
It will be like this since the game is new and they are looking at data and player retention and sales...soon they will need to readjust. Play casually for now and likely do research and do a lot of reading to prevent mistakes and save resources....and try to ask for help in global chat if you need in bosses, people respond and will invite you to a party. Remember you're not alone in this game
@Zaouik Dont do that, there is litterly an option in this game to select all your duplicates that are not leveled just hold shift and then dismantel all duplicate mods. PS holding on to low level loot beceause it has a good roll is nonsence. if it has a godroll with 100 fire attack and whatever else, when you upgrade the weapon to level 100 is litterly keeps the exact same amount. meaning you will have +100 dmg on a weapon that does 15k per shot. and if you use an item to reroll so that the stats go up, then what did you hold the item for?
This is correct, no sense on holding. just upgrade and upgrade the gun you like atleast better look for percentages roll rather than flat amount VS this VS that because all of these rolls are only mostly effective at endgame...
tip 11 you unlock the full potential of bunny's giant GYATT if you have no helmet equipped. You then truly see that each cheek is 1.5x size of her entire head
Problem with getting a low level "god roll" gun is that ive noticed when you upgrade them to a higher level, the substats stay the same value. Thats a problem because the higher a weapon level is, the "floor and ceiling" for the substats raises. Say you have a level 20 weapon with gold firearm stat at 4.5% attack. A level 40 weapon has a floor of 5% and ceiling of 7.5%. If you level the 20 wep to 40, you keep the 4.5% attack which isnt gold stat anymore. Its white. And the gun is now doo-doo
I think that's why there's that re roll option. I only level up ultimate, so I haven't messed with much. I'm waiting till I hit Fortress to start re rolling and all that
it still needs more meat on the bones, but as just released, its fine (upcoming seasons / content will fill it up).., but it already has gear / skins worth grinding!
For the reactors with the weapon bonus, is the bonus for if you just have it equipped in one of your 3 weapon slots or do you actively need to be holding it in your hands?
There are different reactors, some say have equipped some say have mounted. Have mounted means you have ti be using it, habe equipped u just have to have it equipped of course
What is the red "missed skill power stat" on the reactor? I am meeting the conditions and yet sometimes it says missed skill power, but I can't figure out why.
@@fedep6963 But like I said, the requirement for example was "use sniper" I had a sniper equipped but I was still missing skill power. I don't see what other requirement I need to hit.
@@fedep6963 Yeah I just realized that after watching a vid where the tool tip was old and it made more sense. I thought I am always missing skill power but this just means if the condition isnt met you basically just get 100% of the reactors power, if you meet it you get 140%. Kinda confusing to put it that way but I finally understand
Hello, Each Reactor synergy with an elemental, the little center image is the element, you were using a solar one so the description shows "burning", the one that appears an electric ray is "arc"/"electrical" element. So, why you were using a "solar" Reactor instead of an "electrical" one? Thunder Cage has "arc"/"electrical" "traits" so it synergizes better with Bunny, so why I could use another non ultimate weapon instead?
Hey mtash when it comes to the rarity of a stat on a weapon that is determined by how high in the range the stat is. For example a gold stat means its on the higher end of the possible range for that stat. Therefore if you get a gold stat on the weapon, you can safely assume its on the higher end of the stat range for that specific stat
Hey there, do you get the extra skin for prime characters only when you buy them or do you get it if you unlock it ftp as well? That seems kinda crappy if it only a buy thing :)
sadly when leveling up guns, stats will break they dont level with the weapon, they will turn gray and be trash so stats are only for endgame and its pointless to keep them, focus on ultimate weapons and later on we can reroll the stats and have the ones we want
One thing I hate about the Titan, ahem, Ajax, is the jump slam just whifs like 95% of the time because ithas zero targeting and a distance it for some reason just absolutely has to travel before slamming..
P.s, so. You mean to say. We get to have. ALLLLL 15 characters. , in the end , ????? So what happen. When. We get allll. The descendants. ,, ???? Will it be the end of the game. ??? Or. ????
Im wondering the same. The thing on warframe is when you forma...you must grind with temporal decreased mod capacity. But on tfd...how does mastery affect ?
Never sell weapons and reactors.. you’ll never get any good amount of gold from them and you’re better off farming missions.. Always dismantle outdated weapons for materials to upgrade the weapons you actually use Edit: Focus on descendant mods until your weapon energy is high enough to fill every single slot with a mod.. once all your slots are full you can start upgrading weapon mods as your weapon energy increases
Yes, the ultimate weapons are great. Some work really well with certain descendants. I'd wait on leveling up till you're in the fortress area so you're not wasting the material to keep it matched to the weapons dropping higher
Dont keep low level gear woth good rolls. Rolls dont scale if you keep a lvl 20 weapon with gold rolls and you leveel that weapon to 100 the rolls r still level 20
You talk about not doing the weapon Transmission until end game. Question: what about when you craft the Thunder Cage for example. Mine is still baking but I understand that when it's ready it will be level 1. Should i transmission it now or wait? Is it worth it for an Ultimate weapon? Thanks.
I’m about to get mine today but I won’t level it up through transmission yet though as I’m not even close to beating the campaign and the second I go play some missions for 20 minutes I’m already going to have higher level gear. If you wanna level it up once just to enjoy it for a bit go for it but don’t bother trying to keep leveling it up and wasting resources and instead just wait until your drops stop increasing in power after every mission.
You will also have to do the second option when you upgrade it so the subs are brought up to the right level to. Otherwise they be the white level one sub stats
this is why i became an art student. if .044% is the same as 4.4% then why not just have it be 4.4%. It looks like the better number for a plebeian like myself.

i play ff14 raiding during the day (need focus) & now TLD during the night (to relax)
Nice solid content!
I like how you got straight to the point and still puts some jokes in the vid
Dam haven’t seen this guy in like a year wild
I saw so many videos , this is the video ! He like angry teacher xd
Why doesn't gley frenzied weapon dmg puff scale with your power modifier
“Multiple Days into the game” Me unlocking it in a day
How would I know which missions I can do to get mastery? Imagine revisiting an earlier map.
Thanks for the guide.
Is it true you can sacrifice high level weapons and use them to make a favorite weaker gun stronger?
can we get more looters where gear actually makes a visual difference on the char?
sadly when leveling up guns, stats will break they dont level with the weapon, they will turn gray and be trash so stats are only for endgame and its pointless to keep them, focus on ultimate weapons and later on we can reroll the stats and have the ones we want
One thing I hate about the Titan, ahem, Ajax, is the jump slam just whifs like 95% of the time because ithas zero targeting and a distance it for some reason just absolutely has to travel before slamming..
the distance depend on his run speed.
P.s, so. You mean to say. We get to have. ALLLLL 15 characters. , in the end , ????? So what happen. When. We get allll. The descendants. ,, ???? Will it be the end of the game. ??? Or. ????
Do weapon proficiencies actually do anything or is it just a show of how much you use the gun?
Im wondering the same. The thing on warframe is when you forma...you must grind with temporal decreased mod capacity. But on tfd...how does mastery affect ?
Never sell weapons and reactors.. you’ll never get any good amount of gold from them and you’re better off farming missions.. Always dismantle outdated weapons for materials to upgrade the weapons you actually use
Edit: Focus on descendant mods until your weapon energy is high enough to fill every single slot with a mod.. once all your slots are full you can start upgrading weapon mods as your weapon energy increases
Yeah! I am following mashed again!
Are ultimate weapons worth it? And level transmission seems to be the only way to lvl the weapons up.
Yes, the ultimate weapons are great. Some work really well with certain descendants. I'd wait on leveling up till you're in the fortress area so you're not wasting the material to keep it matched to the weapons dropping higher
@@combativestelth6105 gotcha, I understand
Dont keep low level gear woth good rolls. Rolls dont scale if you keep a lvl 20 weapon with gold rolls and you leveel that weapon to 100 the rolls r still level 20
How do you lock a weapon? I don't see anything about locking a weapon but I see the favorite option at the bottom.
Idk what buttons it is for M&K but my right trigger marks it as trash and my left trigger marks it with a heart as favorite
Sup mtash been awhile how’s the family?
Do you lose all weapon mods equipped from dismantling old weapons in case you forgot to remove them?
No
How do you favourite weapons
this is why i became an art student. if .044% is the same as 4.4% then why not just have it be 4.4%. It looks like the better number for a plebeian like myself.
Can you put multiple elements on one gun?
It's decently fun so far.
