@TranceFur nah not if it's anything like the Granturismo MC, it's solid. I can't speak on that quattroporte bs or ghibli bs, I've never owned one of those.
I love the Maser motorsport legacy and history. However, oh man, $250k for a car visually difficult to differentiate from its $10-$20k depreciated predecessors, some of which are now in beater condition….this is not a not a great business decision in my opinion.
I love the QP5 sport GTS. It's a dream sedan of mine. I drove a 2008 ZF gearbox QP5 once briefly, it was a little rough in-terms of cosmetic but the 4.2 V8 motor is magnificent. Sounds great, pull smoothly to redline, it's not blow your mind fast but still plenty quick, the ZF gearbox is smooth as butter. And despite being a huge car(200 inches long and 4400 lb), it felt small and nimble even with squidgy suspension; love it. I'll buy one, someday.
Just took delivery of my first AP1 S2K a few hours ago. Test drove one for the first time a few months ago. Mined Craigslist and Facebook, bought it sight unseen. Drove it today (second time driving an S2K) Gave it a proper shakedown and I my mind is completely blown. Zygrene is 1000% on the money with the S2K reviews. I now trust these reviews you put in, completely. The definitely should have put the V8 is this Maserati. Thanks for this one!
You're right about the engine character; it should have a V8 like the older Granturismos! I think a more advanced V8 and a hybrid system should have been used instead of the V6. The sound of the V6 turbos are a bit boring. But yes I would get the QV, instead of this because Alfa managed to make the QV sound a bit more special. The money saved can buy buy me a Cayenne TDI, aluminum trailer and an S2K race car lol.
I got to drive the 'base' GranTurismo and it stickered for 200k. Outrageous. It didn't have Corsa mode which sucked. I had no idea the were based on the Guilia.
To bad they can’t sell even the most limited edition cars. Work in north east port where they imported. Have at least 12 of these just seating and have not moved in about a year. Crazy ! Great review !
The GranTurismo is a really great car underneath. This car deserved its own name and styling to differentiate it from its predecessor. The GT does compete with Aston Martin, especially since those cars don't sound like they used to either. The pricing isn't the problem. The car just lacks the emotion the old one had. The V6, although more powerful, does not play the same symphony of the 4.7 V8, but the rest of the car is more modernized in terms of interior and handling. Great review, nice to see someone drive these cars with an open mind.
@ 0:01 Tbf I never have really wanted to ever drive a Maserati. Outside of maybe the og Granturismo, when I was in middle school (2008 when new), the granturismo had the most gorgous exterior. Thought the interior was trash, even back then
Well some people may not want the Quadrifoglio because its a four door, and the electrical issue history. I'd argue "why not get a used MC20" lmao. You can get one for $165k with 5k or less miles all day. (I think the cielo convertible is much cooler and fitting of the MC20)
@ which is why i said “history”. Everyone keeps saying that same thing about ever stellantis vehicle, that the electrical issues have been fixed on the latest year. I really wouldn’t trust it though. Every single person i know with a dodge, chrysler or jeep is plagued with random elec issues (wipers with a mind of its own, uconnect requiring the car to reset, singular buttons on the key not working, failure to start with a good battery, and so on).
Like, I’m being genuine when i say the only person i know with a stellantis vehicle that hasn’t had any issues is my neighbor who daily drives an Alfa 4C.
The Guilia you have probably has a better steering feel with an ageless and exemplary design that would make it age better than its competitors. i would take a Guilia over this TBH if i am spending my own money.
These things are sitting on dealership lots (at least in my area) with basically zero miles, clean title for $140-160k so clearly they’re not worth what Maserati is asking for it. With that said for that price these are extremely tempting, personally I’m taking this over an M8 Comp no questions asked. I’m seriously considering buying one of these if they get below $100k. My only gripe is I wish they made a variant with the F154 from the Ghibli/Levante Trofeo.
This car is for sure overpriced considering the mediocre design and quality of the interior. And I would have offered a lighter more track focused RWD version. They finally have the possibility to make a proper coupe version of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and they ditch it... classic Fiat mentality.
Can’t wait to buy one of those in 10 years for $15,000
Be sure to set aside $100,000 for maintenance and repairs, lol
@TranceFur nah not if it's anything like the Granturismo MC, it's solid. I can't speak on that quattroporte bs or ghibli bs, I've never owned one of those.
damn youre getting maseratis as press cars, moving on up Fenton!
Car companies astroturf these days.

old gen looks timeless, this is is like a ugly facelift
@@thatpersiandude7386 the old gen also had a better sounding engine
@@thatpersiandude7386I like this new one too, but yeah, the old 4.7l looks great.
That Quattroporte GTS that James may drove on TG 15 years ago is one of the all time best sounding and best looking 4doors ever made.
Plus you can get it for like 13k lmao

Congrats! Enjoy 9k rpm
the gt mc stradale was probably the highlight of this lineage for me
$260k today, $26k in 10 years no problem. Stellantis isn't doing so hot, and this certainly wont help with that
the color is stunning, but the red wheels/accents are tacky af.

Sadly these will depreciate like the Titanic.

Thid will be a great car when depreciated 80% in a couple years
Has you drove the car I saw dollars evaporated at each mile
Perfect to buy depreciated after 5 years. 😊
Another six cylinder twin turbo mated to cataclysmic depreciation and Maserati reliability.
You need to drive the generation with the Ferrari V8 engine.
Would love to if someone has one

I wonder what designers are thinking when they put red accents on a blue car (hyundai N)

Keep up the good videos
track review next? 👀
Great content, as always! We'd love to see you review a 2014-2019 Granturismo Sport or MC with the F136 V8 and hear your impressions.
Hope someone can offer one for review!
it will be a bargain used, also it is the only option in this segment that has usable rear seats
This part is overlooked. The back seats are genuinely usable for average sized adults
@ 0:01 Tbf I never have really wanted to ever drive a Maserati. Outside of maybe the og Granturismo, when I was in middle school (2008 when new), the granturismo had the most gorgous exterior. Thought the interior was trash, even back then
Try the fiat 150 in sport mode and run it at Indianapolis track
Bad price slot. Good thing they don't plan to make too many. Can anyone say . . . Bentley Continental GT
No competition, lol.
For a V6TT in a coupe form, rather just spend 1/3 the price and get the B9 RS5.

The Alfa Quadrifoglio issues have long since been resolved.

@@SicSemperBeats Well, now you know of another owner with no issues - me! My 2020 Alfa Giulia has been faultless in 3 1/2 years of ownership.
I would rather have a 10 year old Ferrari
Peeping that Google Pixel 🔥
Inside cabin sound very like m3
My Guilia quad is 100% of this car and more with carbon seats and ccbs. That price is wild!
The Guilia you have probably has a better steering feel with an ageless and exemplary design that would make it age better than its competitors. i would take a Guilia over this TBH if i am spending my own money.
That's a great looking car.
Wow over 200k and only a v6
So basically a low end version of the AMG GT

Would prefer the alfa romeo giulia QV
Let me know if you want to drive a 2017 Maserati GranTurismo MC with the stradale appearance package….all original.
@@HISVOICE4LIFE that would be fun. Please shoot me a quick email at zygrene@gmail.com
These are popular with the Mainlander crowd (IYKYK)
Oh IK
even if the cost half the msrp there are still better choices out there, Maserati just don't make good cars regardless of price.
You didn't watch the video, did you? He liked the car, not the price.
Looks exactly like the 2013 model lmao
I watch your videos from outside the US and the title gets translated badly in different languages. Please make sure UA-cam doesn’t do that.
Not worth even at half that price. I owned a brand new one that didn’t even last 33000 miles. No dealer support; junked at 330000 miles!

People still buying Maserati?
Those with money buy a Maserati, Those without money buy a Skoda
PLAESE STOP THÉ NEW TRADUCTION AUTOMATIQUE FRENCH , IS NOT VERY GOOD
It just doesn’t look good, It also has an awful stance to it.
In the static b-roll shots the car was in the raised ride height
