Hey guys, thank you all so much for the support over the past couple weeks. Really means a lot to me and my family. Back to work!
I have been very blessed during my efforts to build this channel, and I will always do what I can to support my fellow veteran creators as much as I have been supported. So if you did want to hear me ramble on about my own personal experiences, on working with the channel, and an Airman's own creepy stories, check out the Halloween interview I did with Josh on the Hero Front Podcast: ua-cam.com/video/I6H97d9qCps/v-deo.htmlsi=qHWWxIB8VL3tYf3p

I have a friend who is a scientist, and a very skeptical, rational dude all around. We live out west and occasionally go camping; on one trip he was pulling out some gear and I noticed he had a little plastic baggy filled with a grey powder. I asked him what it was and in a tone that suggested he didn't want to talk about it, he replied, "white ash." Only later did I learn that ashes from the white ash tree are thought to be effective against skinwalkers. I'd love to know why my not st all superstitious friend carries a little bag of the stuff in his camping gear, but I doubt he wants to tell me. Maybe when we're good and drunk...

It's just a matter of what he's skeptical about, and what he's not skeptical about.
You've undoubtedly heard the old saying that " seeing is believing "?
Maybe your friend saw something that convinced him of their existence.
I was skeptical about UFOs once. Not anymore.

Fun fact about mountain lions, this is relevant to “Hello?”, don’t worry. They are not big cats and cannot roar as a result because they lack the vocal components for it. However, they have the ability to replicate something similar to a roar, sort of like a screech, which sounds a lot like a *screaming woman*. So when that one soldier asked if it was a mountain lion that did that noise, he might not have been wrong… until the thing said hello.

The last story about the deer hitting itself is most likely a disease called: Chronic wasting disease (CWD). CWD is a prion disease that affects deer, elk, reindeer, sika deer and moose. It pretty much reconstructs protiens in our bodies into prions and they do not work as intended. This causes the creature to not function how it would. dying on a microbial level until it becomes small areas on the body, then whole organs, and finally the brain. It causes them to pretty much lose all motor and brain function until they do not even know what is happening around them. They end up killing themselves because they are so gone, or get eaten by predetors because they aren't afraid of them anymore.

    • @johnnyface
      @johnnyface 4 місяці тому +129

I was looking for this comment. I do remember hearing about a disease that does this to animals, but I couldn’t remember the name.
The first situation with the deer trying to kill itself is still strange though; how would the condition explain it supposedly speaking? Or maybe the soldier hallucinated from shock or was just lying. Who knows.

I actually think being up in the tree stand is worse. IF you're on ground level atleast you could potentially haul ass in the other direction back to the car but being up in a tree stand with the only way out being down means you're stuck either way and have no way of going anywhere.
I'd rather have the option to flee than to be stuck completely, altough I suppose for many it is more comforting having the high ground and having some distance between yourself and whatever is down there.

When I yell at it to try and scare it off there was no reaction. It just slowly turned around and walked away. And then every night while I was on guard I’d catch it on the outskirts of our perimeter. But when I checked out the area it’d been prowling I didn’t find any coyote tracks. Just footprints. One comes from my great-grandmother, who told me about the time when my great-grandfather was hunting alone and shot a wolf or large canine that was stalking him. He checked the place where the beast dropped and he found a naked man with canine-looking arms and legs and a tail. He tried to pick him up, but the downed man-wolf thrashed and he decided to head back home. Apparently, it weirded him out more than anything but he continued to hunt in that same area until he was too old for that. The biggest mindblow was that, independently, that area also happened to be my own preferred hunting area too. You know, is very weird, my mom grew up in a very rural area in the Guatemalan border with Mexico, a place near the town called Malacatan. She was there with aunt or aunt grandma, my mind a bit fuzzy about that detail. The whole point of this is, while my mom was a child, she said an unusually large dog like creature used to sneak into the house and steal anything it liked when the kids were home alone. My mom said she wasn't scared of the thing until her aunt told her to scare the thing away because it was and evil man "disguised" as a dog. The aunt was able to catch the creature once and hit it with stick and driving it away. The scary part is, if my mind serves, the dog thing curse like a man all the way out of the house, the damn thing spoke like a man on it's way out the house like person. After that they saw the creature no more. I don't really believe in any of this stuff but i know enough to know we haven't discovered everything under the sun just yet. As a teenager maybe like 15 or 16 i snuck out with a friend to go for a walk by the river by my house. Now i lived in that green space, i know every path, every rock, and every tree. So its like 2 am and my friend and i are walking back to the house, up a hill along a main path. Down in a ravine we heard the voice of a girl say "hello? I lost my dog, can you help me?" The tone of voice wasnt right, the cadence wasnt right, it sent chills up my spine, it still does just thinking of it now. I grabbed my friend and said we need to go, he didnt really get it and shouted out something like "where are you?" To which the voice responds "i lost my dog, can you help me?" My friend shouts "are you okay?" And the voice responds "can you help me?" I heard a little rustling and i grabbed my friend and started to run back home. I told him when we got home that where that voice was coming from there was no path. I showed him later when the sun came up but that voice was coming from a bush on the side of a hill, 50 feet from any path through dense brush.

Was stationed at MCB Quantico previously, TBS side. There were all sorts of freaky stories from guys doing land nav and the various FEXs. Two notably:
    1. There was a well-known "haunted house" somewhere out in the woods. A lot of the base is built on what was previously a rural town, and abandoned houses/rubble/old equipment/etc. litter the woods. Most houses seem to have fallen down but one specifically is still standing, up around the northeast corner in the base. Anyone who goes in there feels watched, and always report the house seemingly "breathing". There's also a locked door on the second floor where people have reported hearing talking or breathing behind. Never saw it myself but I could point it out on a map.
    2. While doing land nav, guys would occasionally hear a whistle blast followed by what sounded like someone running up behind them or around them - but with nobody actually being anywhere near. Now I've heard that Quantico was used for trench-warfare training back before the Great War, so I've always wondered if that maybe had something to do with it. Never experienced this specifically but there's definitely a very eerie feeling to the forest up towards the northern edge of base, far away from Camp Barrett or the FBI Academy/ranges.

Unfortunately usually these stories have some major plot holes lol.
I mean if there was a locked door in the house that sounded like someone or something might be behind the door why did noone ever bother to just open the door? Sure it was locked but it being an old house out in the middle of nowhere it's probably nothing more than a standard wooden door that won't be all that strong, especially considering it's age.
It's stuff like this that makes me question why nobody ever bothered to check in any way shape or form (especially considering that it seems that this is rather well-known about).

She said the Sioux Indians would door after door tell them to leave and that the medicine man was coming and they had better run. Eventually one woman was very upset and started shouting at them and running towards them so they quickly walked to their car and began to drive away. My sister spotted an old man running quite quickly towards them in a ditch and as they were leaving anyway they started to speed away. When the old man reached the road he began running at a high rate of speed and then he morphed into a wolf and started to catch them. The dust was kicking up pretty good to a cloud and he disappeared in the dust cloud. They never went back.

I live in Georgia and I used to go camping a lot with the boy scouts when I was a kid. There's this old bit of tribal land That was the site of a civil war battle called Chickamauga that we would go to and camp at for a few days every year. All the adults would tell us stories about ghost encounters and other spooky stories during the bonfires at night, but I would always brush them off because I didn't believe in ghosts.
Well The last time I went there, I was about 16, and we were on our last night camping and I had already packed in for the night and was fast asleep in my tent when I woke up having to pee. I'm not sure what time it was, but it had to be between midnight and maybe 3am. I got up and unzipped my tent to walk outside and piss, but as soon as I did, I noticed that the entire woods were lit up as if it was daytime, so I looked up to see the sky, but it was pitch black. I was confused as hell and wanted to wake up my friend in the tent to show him and make sure I wasn't going crazy, but I had to pee so bad that I said screw it and walked over to the nearest tree and started pissing. Thats when I heard someone call out with a "Hey!" and I looked up and about 50 yards away was the biggest, blackest buck I've ever seen just staring at me. I don't know why, but I was scared shitless. I stopped pissing immediately and ran into my tent and buried myself into my sleeping bag and spent the next hour listening for anything, but nothing ever came. I didn't even hear the buck walk away, so I was sure that thing was just staring down my tent the entire time. eventually sleep caught up to me and I passed back out.
The next morning I recounted my story to one of the scout leaders and he looked pretty unsettled by what I had told him so he told me about skinwalkers, which was something none of the adults had ever brought up before because they deemed them 'too scary' for us kids. That was the first time I'd ever heard the term, and that was the last time I ever went to Chickamauga.

When i was just a few feet away from the house i got a really bad feeling and kinda just stood there in the driveway, i remember seeing that their car was gone so no one could've been home at that time (i think unless someone was inside but i didn't want to knock just to check) so i just turned and got to school as fast i could. Right behind my friends house was more forest, and growing up i'd always hear stories of 'monsters' trying to lure you away with voices and such. @@ReptilianTeaDrinkerI haven't really experienced anything like that since I left my family's land, except for one time I returned home one year for the winter holidays. I had brought a relative's cat with me from out of state to have some company. One of my favorite pastimes as a kid was to walk to our family graveyard - a mound-shaped space we shared with other family groups who worked together to purchase the land after emancipation - so naturally, I began the 7min walk with the cat tagging along. Suddenly, the tabby stopped in its tracks while staring at the center of the road ahead of us. When I asked him what was wrong, he did that slow, drawn-out meow cats do when they feel threatened. Then his back hiked up with his hair all prickly. I kinda froze because I thought of all the people living on that land who told me stories of encountering strange entities and beasts on that same short strip of road. Always seeming like a guardian, or better yet, a gatekeeper to the graveyard standing in the middle of the road. These stories stretched so far across time, some of them described the road to be a wide stretch of asphalt, while others described it as a thin stretch of dirt. So when my furry friend reacted that way, I knew that three generations of other natives were telling the truth. I ended up walking to the graveyard by myself. Though I'd seen a lot of strange things as a kid, I never saw or felt any malicious energy leading up to or in the graveyard. In fact, I felt drawn to it and at peace there.

I also learn something new every time I watch, history-wise, which I love.
I have to say, I really appreciated your thoroughness with this episode in particular. I'm am Ka'waika (Laguna Pueblo) Native, with many Diné friends and colleagues and your efforts to be true to their culture is inspiring. As an Indigenous person, the blanket terms used to describe or identify us in the media, or the failure to research what may be correct for one tribe, but different for others, gets old after awhile. It also causes many think we are all alike, not knowing just how many different tribes, cultures and languages we have across North America. It means more than you know and is probably appreciated by every Indigenous person watching your stories.

HEY!! Actual Navajo here and pretty surprised to hear one of the only white tongues I've heard pronounce it pretty spot on (just with an English-speaking accent)!
I just hope this isn't a skinwalker fanfic, but will edit my comment when I've finished.
Before I do that, 'Naadlooshi' is our word for livestock or four-legged animal. They 'Ye' part refers to a person. So put them together it refers to a person who goes on all fours; like an animal. This context usually reefers to a wicked person whom uses animal skins and dark magics to shapeshift.
first story is pretty spot on. They usually work in pairs or groups depending on the situation. They always drag their dead off and away. If you're capable of wounding a skinwalker with a blessed weapon or bullet, the human form will most often die a few days after.
Second story seems pretty legit too. On of my relatives who used to drink and sleep around with women says he actually spent the night with one. One night after drinking and spending a night with this woman, he woke up. It was still night time and, not making a sound, he looked over at the woman he had slept with. It was as if she had come back into their room and she was bedding down. As she was faced away from him he noticed she was undressing, but what she was taking off was an animal skin. Her whole top half was that of a woman, but her legs and lower half was that of a sheep. As she continued to peel the sheep skin off it returned back to her human woman form. Needless to say, he stopped sleeping around with that woman and stopped drinking.
A lot of skinwalker accounts note a smell of rotten meat, most likely from the dead animal skins they adorn. Wish the teller of this story was able to recount if they could note a stench of death in the air.
Third story I can't pin down. Haven't heard a story like that myself. Might have to consult my cousin who hunts these things sometimes.
Fourth story is most likely some sort of mimic. From my personal knowledge, skinwalkers don't really vocalize unless it's the animal they are mimicking.
Fifth story is also strange. Might be a mimic or not-deer of some sort. To my knowledge, skinwalkers don't really vocalize human speech when in animal form, but they do get inside your head. There are several cryptids that may be confused with skinwalkers such as mimics, no-faces, or changelings; all pretty scary.
All in all, this vid was pretty good. Thumbs up!

I’ve heard of a few skinwalker stories from my hometown in Douglas Arizona, and quite a few of them have happened out near the Sonoran desert. One story I heard was from a friend of a friend, who told me and my buddy about an experience his wife had. She was out driving past the mountains behind Douglas and saw some weird creature that “looked like a guy with wolf legs,” it noticed her and started chasing her, all while she was speeding away. The scariest part to me was that the skinwalker was able to almost match the cars speed going about 60 MPH, which I’ve also heard from other stories skinwalkers can do. She got home and started crying from how shaken up she was, and from the way the guy told us the story he definitely wasn’t messing with us.

I'm glad I found this. These stories took me back th Ft. A.P. Hill Virgina. My last duty station as an M.P., we had all kinds of weird stuff happen we never reported. The post was the site of the battle of the wilderness where 1000s perished not from battle but by a forest fire that started during the fight. Both sides stopped the battle to fight the fire. We often were sent out to dead body calls only to find a training exercise where fighting positions were being dug. It was always a clutch of skeletons who burned in the fire. One pit had Yankee and Confederate victims huddled together. The Army Archaeologists identified them by the uniform buttons. Some were hugging each other as they suffocated.
Locals saw ghosts all the time marching on and off base. I would see lights in the woods at night. I called it in the first few times. They told me to ignore it. I have more, but I hate typing on this tablet.

For the record: cougars really do make sounds that almost perfectly resemble the sound of a woman screaming, in fact, many people falsely believe they have been witness to a murder, or have themselves gone missing in the middle of the night after trying to render aide to a "woman" who was really just a cougar in heat.
Another thing to note: both ravens and crows are mocking birds and while they don't do it very often(in fact it's so rare that most people are surprised they even can do this), they are actually capable of mimicking a human's speech, really well in fact, about as well as a parrot can actually.
You don't know creepy until a raven looks you dead in the eye and says "come on" in a man's voice perfectly clear.
So it's entirely possible that the "hello" story was a simple case of city boys not understanding local wildlife as well as they thought they did... In fact, I'd put money on this probably being the case.
Similarly, the "skinwalker guns" story seems very sus to me, a "predator noise but faster" could very easily be describing a rattlesnake, or a cricket(some crickets make a sound that's almost identical to a rattlesnake) - the scream? probably a coyote or a wolf off in the distance.
As for the deer on it's hind legs, well, you said it yourself, it's not like a deer can't do that, plus thermal sights don't exactly give you a clear picture of what you're looking at, for all we know it wasn't even standing on it's back legs it was just taller than that particular marine thought a deer should be.
The fact it was all kicked off by a bunch of older marines messing with the boot, right after telling him skinwalker stories, that seals it for me, they either made it up in their sleep deprived heads, or they were just fucking with the boot and the joke went a bit too far.

crows and ravens have evolved so quickly that they know how to scare the shit out of would-be predators (humans) by mimicking our speech and staring right at us

    • @trainknut
      @trainknut 4 місяці тому +7

@@long_chin_man Actually, anecdotal accounts of ravens "speaking" would explain a lot about many religions/myths around the world, particularly Norse Pagan and Native American mythology - many involving ravens and sometimes crows giving wisdom to(and/or sometimes causing mischief by misdirecting) people lost in the woods.
It's possible these myths evolved from real accounts of people encountering crows and ravens that chose to "speak" to them.
If so this wouldn't just indicate they've been able to do this for pretty much all of recorded history, but it would also imply they've evolved/learned to do this for reasons other than simply scaring humans away from their territory - such as warning them of predators or incoming storms.. Perhaps indicating some kind of historic cooperative relationship between man and corvid, somewhat akin to that of man and dogs/horses.
      But I digress.
We don't know when they evolved the ability to mimic speech, or when they started to do it en masse, but it's likely they've been able to as long as we've known about them, as mimicry is not actually as uncommon or difficult as one might think, many creatures practice some form of it - from simple things like seagulls making calls vaguely resembling an eagle cry, to the aforementioned example of crickets in the desert which have evolved/learned to make a sound identical to that of a rattle snake shaking it's rattle.
I'll be the first to acknowledge copying a sound like a rattle is a COMPLETELY different thing to not only mimicking speech but seeming to have at least enough of a comprehension of it to understand context... But still, in theory it's not that unheard of, even if it is weird and unexpected.
In short: ravens and crows in real life are way more complex and interesting than creepypasta writers could ever make skinwalkers into as fiction..

I have a personal story to share. I live less then a mile from the southern coast of lake Ontario in NY, (yes I know, not typical skinwalker range but read on and tell me what else it could have been) one night like a month or two ago my brother and I had just finished gearing up to go take care of outside chores. I was standing outside keeping watch and my brother was inside taking care of his dog and I heard this weird reptilian-esque hissing coming from the other side of our road. We're completely surrounded by woods and fields so any sound is either an animal or something else. My brother came back outside to join me and asked if I had called for him and I said no. He told me he had heard me whisper "Hey (my brother's name)" from outside the open window in the room he was in but I hadn't said or heard anything of the sort. I instead told him what I'd heard and we both were kind of freaked out but we had obligations to attend to so we carried on. A couple nights later we were hanging out on a pretty isolated corner of our property when we heard someone talking out in an adjacent field. I remember we both distinctly heard an incredibly sassy female voice saying "umm, hellooo?" But it sounded like it had been pre-recorded, just really disturbing especially since it was the middle of the night. Needless to say we booked it. I'm 19 and my brother is almost 17 so it's not like we couldn't stand our ground if we were truly pressured, but this really didn't feel like something we wanted to do that with. Other exceptionally weird stuff happens around here but it's not related to the subject of the video, just know that the things I've detailed in this comment aren't the only experiences which influenced our decisions.

One guy in particular while in Dep said his family was cursed, he was Navajo, he too said he had a skinwalker, mostly in the form of a shadow person and weirdly distorted animals constantly following him. There was a couple of times we would do workouts or runs in the NM desert and he would chant something to himself quietly and even said a few times his demons were stalking all of us. @peppercat8718 my friends and I would go out to an area called choke cherry to spotlight and night hunt. One night we were way the hell out there at almost the end of the two track dirt roads and we stop the jeep to take a look around. I was driving and spotted these grey masses about 100yds to the direct front of us. Figuring these were coyotes my two friends clicked the spotlights on and got eyes on them. And just for context all of us have hunted the area for basically our whole lives. Anyways we get these things that were now running in a circles about 5 of these grey blobs. I say running but it didn't look like that it looked more like amorphous blobs rolling in a circle. There was no eye shine and no yipping and they definitely did not flee when the lights got on them. I had a buddy sitting out of the sun roof with a light tracking this blob thing to our right going in and out of the trees and it split and half went left and the other half continued to the right in a sweeping circle type thing coming in from either side of us. Windows are down and the vehicle is off so we can listen and it's silent out there and about the time we start to get creeped out we all get a really horrible feeling that if we didn't leave that instant that something bad would happen. I've never had that feeling growing up out there and being familiar with the area. Anyways we start to get out of there and a massive white owl swoops down in front of us a couple minutes after we lost sight of the group of whatever those were and it basically hops from tree to tree as we exited the area following us, every 2 300 yds it would show up in a tree off the side of the road. It had a wing span of maybe 3 to 5 feet and would always get ahead of us and then land in a tree watching us. We never saw anything like that again in that particular area and at the time I or my friends weren't really superstitious. Going back over it the look of the blobs initially looked like coyotes but in the scope it was just this grey blob looking thing.

They usually bury that outside our houses and the medicine man comes and tells us where to dig to find them. They’re more of a nuisance rn since they only get really powerful off your fears, a medicine man I once knew straight up talked shit to one that was running around the Hogan during their ceremonies, yelling at him “TAKE OFF YOUR MASK, SHOW ME WHO YOU ARE!” After yelling at him and showing no fear it took off and he finished the ceremony.

I'm not native descent, Scotch-Irish in fact, but there is something I experienced while living on an 80 acre farm in NC that feels worth sharing.
Coyotes were common on the property, and had an old den up in the pasture near the clear cut path for the power lines. We'd often hear them yipping and howling nearby, communicating from one side of the property to the other. Sometimes we'd even hear them in the metal barn just up the hill, their sounds echoing like crazy. The sounds never bothered us, but every once in a while I'd get an uneasy feeling while outside by myself.
One night around 2am I wake up to the sounds of a woman shrieking coming from the tree line, then an infant screaming and crying, and a cacophony of yips, yodels, and howls. No one else mentioned the sounds the next day, so I kept it to myself, but I did not sleep for a while after that. Mountain lions hadn't been seen in the area for years, and I never found any deer remains. I still don't have a good explanation.
I've had some strange encounters, but nothing has filled me with a primal fear like what I heard that night.

Skinwalker stories were told to get Navajo children to get children to behave. They would say "ah dii boogey man" or yinigloshie. Usually to get them to sleep. Some skinwalkers stories are told with humor to dispel fear. In Navajo history there were real threats of enemy tribes or Mexican who raided Navajos for slaves, so being quiet at night was important and being able to run was important. There are protections against skin walkers, ash on your rifle or weapon and throwing ash into it face with a specific shout. Some of the story sounds like ghost stories. Old man at fence sounds like a ghost story or chindi story. It is easy to confuse the two. One of the story about a deer walking sounds like a deer woman story, that is not uniquely Navajo but to other tribes. Or having an animal speak to you may be more of a death omen or warning that other tribes as well as Navajo talk about. There are dark spirits that also scare people or perpetuate fear, by using the human imagination. Many stories are usually dark spirit related. Don't give into fear or let them have power over you. Prayer helps, you are not alone as Willy Brown would say.

Yeah that's why I believe all of these stories I just malicious spirits and aliens also I could be malicious Spirits using the human imagination like you said that's why they take the form of aliens one way to distinguish one from the other is if alien only once you to leave the area and if you don't it will keep haunting you and in some extreme cases even kill you also if it's aliens then most of the time they will take on a form that will scare you away but they are not actually changing their form but changing how your brain perceives them but not every alien but not every alien will do this the reason is because they can actually change the molecular structure into different shapes while maintaining their higher intellectual consciousness how they do this is I think the physical form is just flash puppet for their consciousness to control so basically they can just shapeshift into a animal like you said and still talk like a normal intelligent species

It was just as chilling the second time around. Idk why this one got me like it did, but man did it get me. Great work Luke

I'm navajo (Dine) too! After listening to one of his other stories I wanted to check this one out and already in the first few minutes I loved how knowledgeable he was, unlike other paranormal channels who like to throw the "S" word out at anything creepy or cryptic. But I can tell ya I had one of these things messing with me, cause it knew I was in a bad place. I had 3 dreams, the first dream had a something that looked like the person I was studying (I'm a med student who had to work in a cadaver lab), It crawled around me while I was walking through a changing forest. I was definitely creeped out and I passed it off as anxiety since I was working on a non living person. The 2nd dream happened a few weeks later and I was alone walking back to my old car, when I felt like someone was following me. I started my car and looked in the side mirror and saw a shadow sprinting at me, so I drove off and turned around and wanted to hit it, but for some reason it wouldn't let me hurt it, so I went home and locked the doors and windows. It followed me back and started calling me all sorts of names saying I ruined everything, while it kicked at the door and banged on the windows. I told it to leave me alone and started yelling back before I woke up. Once I was awake I told it to leave and it wasn't welcomed around my house. Then the 3rd dream happened a few nights after the 2nd. I was driving back to my mom's place late at night and she was gone off on an overnight trip, so I had the house to myself. She told me to park in the back cause they needed the front when they got back early since they had the horse trailer. So I pulled around to the back and turned on my brights cause it's a rural area where she lives, and when I did that I saw someone standing in the bushes on the hill behind the house. That's when i figured out what it was, so I started honking my horn and yelling at it to go away. It turned around and hopped on all 4's like a dog/cat. I woke up and told it to leave me alone once again. I told my mom and dad, and my dad went to a medicine man and they said it's true, it was lingering around all 3 of our places and that we needed a prayer and a ceremony done. The prayer was done but i haven't had the ceremony yet, I think it figured out that it couldn’t get into my head as easily so instead it attacked my dad who was already dealing with depression from losing his covid patients. He ended up passing last fall...

I recall walking downtown in Cornwall, ON. Up ahead walking my way was a Native, we both just randomly came to a stop to say hello. He was a Mohawk from New York State. We just talked for a minute wished each other well, and that was it. I am from Moose Factory, ON but was in Kashechewan, ON when we were evacuated due to flooding from one end of Ontario to another. My father is retired Army and was stationed at Ft. Huachuca in the early 80’s, I was about ten years old at the time. One weekend we were camping in the dessert some twelve miles outside of Sierra Vista with the neighbor and his three boys, the eldest of them being sixteen. My father and the neighbor left to go get pizza shortly before dusk, leaving the eldest boy in charge and with a force multiplier. It wasn’t too long after sunset that we found our camp surrounded by coyote and our fathers had only been gone roughly an hour. I had taken note that one of these coyote was much larger than the others and carried itself differently. Not taking any chances the eldest boy fired a shot into the pack and they scattered, but that larger one only distanced itself and watched us for a while, only taking off when headlights approached.
This incident is seared into my memory and to this day I believe that larger coyote was a skinwalker.

    Good morning from the UK!
I’m not a serving or former military member (health issues sadly went against me on that), but I have always lived your videos, and respect what the vets here have shared with all of us here. I thought I’d say about an experience which occurred about 13 years ago in daylight with a couple of friends at South East England’s largest body of standing water, Bewl Water.
There is only one point where you can actually cross from one side of the reservoir to the other, a bridge over a narrow creek, and you have to walk through a wooded stretch along a footpath to get there. There has always been something about the area which felt unsettling, and one morning three of us found out why; out of the corner of our eyes we observed that the other side of a fence in the woods we were being stalked by something that stood upright, grey in colour, and was seven feet tall at least- the top half was indistinguishable but it was unsettling to say the least, and we sped up our walk accordingly!
I avoided the place for many years, but the next time I went there I found myself flanked by two Squirrels who stayed with me through the woods until I reached the bridge. They seemed to pause in the trees as if waiting for me to catch up- woodland guardians maybe?
4 years ago the area we saw the ‘entity’ had been cleared with the exception of one tall, spindly pine tree. I have always wondered what stalked us that day.

This was a great video. The subject matter discussed always intrigues me. I used to work with a member of the Navajo Nation, who I consider a good friend. Anyway, I had watched some videos/shows covering the skinwalkers. Knowing that it was taboo to even mention this or discuss it with him, I never brought it up to him. One day, out of the blue, he brings the subject up. I was taken aback, as I knew that even mentioning the creature’s name was a no-no. Anyway, he tells me that he didn’t mind discussing it because he had confronted one (literally I believe) and told me that it holds no power over him because he acknowledges it and he won’t let it. I told him I appreciated him talking to me about the subject. He had quite a few interesting stories he told me!

I am a Nor Cal native and have spent my life all around the woods, camping, hiking, foraging etc, and I can attest to the stories. I've heard a great deal from friends and family about weird shit around here, especially on the reservation land which isn't too far from where I grew up. Needless to say my friends and I when trecking around are always armed, and at all costs stay away from native land, or places that used to be native land, too many folks have gone missing for me to test my luck. On the topic of the fires at least where I am I know that they tend to push a lot of wildlife into populated areas, hell we've had problems with mountain lions roaming the neighborhood in past years before somebody eventually puts it down, I have little doubt that a wildfire might also push more unsightly etities in and around here. Even now years after the fires it seems like the woods inches further into town, which isn't crazy my neighborhood is right next to the forest, we're not at all a big community, but it is a little unerving with the things I've heard out there and from others.

Saw the title and was worried, figured this was gonna be another story set somewhere outside the Southwest and that you was gonna just lump them in with all natives by saying something like "Native American's talk about skinwalkers" like all the tribes are the same or something. Such a relief when you explained they are Navajo and even more relieved when you explained they start off as Navajo Shamen. Too often they get exported to other tribes and get morphed into supernatural entities like demons or ghosts. I'm just 3:43 seconds in, and I really hope you will also explain that there isn't much known about Skinwalkers because the Navajo don't like to talk about them, especially with outsiders.

When I was at SOI at Camp Geiger in mid-2001, we were waiting to class up for MCT, so we had a rotating duty at the front gate - which was a small entrance that almost no one used and was closed a year or two later so everyone now has to use the gate at MCAS New River to get to Geiger.
Anyway, two dudes swore up and down that while they were on duty at the gate they heard a woman sobbing. Everyone believed they were just fucking with us. A few weeks later one of our instructors was telling us about some eerie occurences out in the woods at night, and mentioned that a woman had been killed either near there, or actually at the gate. I'm still not fully buying it, but it made it a bit more believable.
