Spanish guy here, just want to say that it's crazy how big the language barrier in Spain is. Even young people struggle so much to understand and speak English. Lots of them look like they are shy, but probably it's just that they don't feel comfortable using English so they want to escape from the situation.
I loved the one of the girl with the headphones and the computer shoes and black vintage stone island top, it was so relaxed and yet sophisticated without trying too hard. Loved the look of the tapered jeans
As a non-native English speaker, I find it pretty cool that Europeans like the Spanish and the French still retain a hold over their native tongue even if it comes at the expense of not being fluent in English. Trust me, you lose nothing. Also having an accent is super hot lol.

I appreciate your confidence to talk to the locals and ask these style questions for ppl like me, who are about to visit Madrid, from America, and frankly I’m a bit paranoid about sticking out like a sore thumb - as Americans today seem to be getting a pretty bad rap. 😢 Personally, I LOVE seeing ppl in America who look and speak differently (esp their beautiful accents) than me. It makes my everyday special and fun…not to mention I LOVE to make them feel welcome in my hometown! ❤
