Your a good dude, remind me of what I want to remember about my father. Thank you man, you mean more then you think to a lot of people. I don’t leave comments but something is telling me to tell you. Remember how important you are to a bunch of us.. take care
Howdy Richard, I have been subscribed and watching your channel for about a year and have learned a lot from you. Thank you for a great channel and useful information.
You're gonna think that I'm crazy my favorite time to crappie fish is to beach the boat and walk the bank. Thank's for the hard work you and mama June put in to these videos.
Well hey thereeee Elmoooo! I have a freezer full of crappie this spring thanks to you sir. I think the key ingredient…a 1/32oz jig head which I’ve never tried before until I saw your videos. There’s just something about that slow fall and slow retrieve…I’m talkin bout them crappie just can’t resist it ok. God bless you and keep enjoying the sport of fishing, it’s second to none.
Hey Richard I used techniques that I learned from your videos to catch a nice mess of 17 slabs last week from the bank. I was slow rolling a 1/16oz jig in 5 feet of water! Thanks for the help
I can't tell you how much I love your videos and you as a great man. I wish I lived closer to you but thank you for the wonderful videos. I think I speak for many when I say we love and admire you.
Richard,I enjoy the heck out of your videos. Always so informative. We all feel the same. We appreciate everything that you TEACH us. Thank you so much
Rich you said the word right in the beginning so you are a very smart carpenter. Thanks for the tips. Im catching everything but crappie. Time to give it a go.
I declare you Mr. Richard Gene The Crappie Whisperer . All the insight you bring to catching these wonderful and delicious panfish is invaluable. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I can't thank you enough for all your fishing videos. You're a real blessing to us the way you share your talents. You said you wished the drivers on that road knew there were all those crappies & could help. Call on us! That would be epic to fish with you some day!
Thank you. I love watching your videos. I learn alot from you. I love to fish but don't have much time to do it. I have fun fishing with you. Have you a bless day.
Once again good sir great video always look forward to hearing your advice and always counting your blessings hands down great great job and as some one once mentioned on another of your videos you deserve your own show sponsors and the whole bit god bless keep it up tight lines.
What an amazing fisherman, you make top notch fishing videos sir. Central texas fishing is not quite the same always got other people anywhere you go usually =(
Richard did you ever think when you started filming! That you would have your name and face all over the united States?? LIVE FOR THE THUMP MY FRIEND!!
I love your accent, I’m subscribed so I can say that. That word is opportunistic! Love your vids bro , keep em coming . Personal I would get bored with crappie fishing, I tend towards bigger fish that try and pull me in the water with them. But there is no crappies in New Zealand brother
Ex fly guide here, very nice 👌🏻 When the water gets clear and the crappie get picky I break out the fly rod/emerging mayflys.. on high-pressure lakes it’s been a game changer 🔥 a solid spinning rod trick is using an emerging mayfly/caddis fly on a tag line between your bobber and your jig.. they might refuse the big ugly jig but they will never turn down that emerging insect 🤌🏻
Seriously love the channel man, thanks for renewing my love for crappie! You and lake fork guy have brought me back to my roots the past couple years haha god bless man! Woooooooooo!!!!!
You are 100% correct. I like adding nymphs above my jigs when I can. Most of the bites are on the fly vs the jig. When I am using a fly rod, I also like putting a nymph above a Clouser or bugger.
Mr. Richard, I absolutely love your channel.I discovered it about a month ago and watch at least a few videos, every day. I’m a Louisiana man but I’ve been working in NYC for about 5 years. Your videos not only show me tons of techniques to try but give me a taste of home. There’s no place like the South. Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and secrets on these videos. I’d really like to know your back story and how you went from Fl to Ala. Also, do you have any recommendations for jig head color in different conditions? Does it matter much or do you kind of match your jig? Thanks again! Keep it up! Please!
Lol I've never tried to mimic a Mayfly with a jig. I've caught them, wormed 'em on a hook under a small bobber and done real good, we always talk about the Mayfly hatch but I've never fished a Mayfly jig. Seems kinda silly now I think about it.
Richard Gene the fishing machine, love you're videos and advice. Thank you for all the information! Do you have any advice for tournament fishing for catching BIG crappie. I'm just trying to get started in tournaments and I'm struggling to consistently catch big crappie. I hope you read this and get back to me. Thank you sir and God bless you!
I hope one day I will run into you out here on lake wateree south Carolina we're I live so I can fish with ya love all the videos especially the ones where you fished in lake Murray South Carolina and Moultrie
Hey Mr Gene are you going to do any blue gill shell cracker fishing this year last year you didn’t do much i been watching for sum time now , I would like to see you catch some this summer. I caught about 30 so far ..I enjoy your channel
richard you make things look DANGEROUSLY easy. I watch you fish with jigs and little straight tails all around heavy cover, but i guess where im reeling in to get my action and not following a current, i get hung. A lot.
Woohoo.... I mean.... Woooo! I finally got me a Mitchell 308. Needs a little work but I believe I can manage to git'er done! If not I'll call Ole Clarance and between eating pinto's, cornbread, and buttermilk I think he'd be happy to help!
Your a good dude, remind me of what I want to remember about my father. Thank you man, you mean more then you think to a lot of people. I don’t leave comments but something is telling me to tell you. Remember how important you are to a bunch of us..
take care
Me and my children love your videos. All 4 of them ask constantly to watch "gene". Especially the 2 year old twins.
