Now, I may not be the biggest fan in traditional (authentic) kizomba, as you might now, but I do enjoy taking the classes from time to time.
And you should too, roots are important.
In general how traditional kizomba & semba classes stand out is that they are just more fun.
From this workshop we learned the basics in semba dance.
For example I finally understood that virgula in kizomba isnt 1-2-cacaca-1-2-cacaca..
It’s 1-2-3 1-2-3 just 3 steps 😃
Left leg, right leg, left leg … left, right, left.
Rico & Adda are really good teachers to learn kizomba/semba from.
They complement each other well and Adda explains a lot about lady part as well!

It was lately my favourite small/medium festival I’ve attended to.
For me, I prefer less people, more closeness then those huge festivals.
That way you get more value out of classes, you get to know most dancers who attend the festival and it’s not too crowded 😃
This festival was a perfect mix of traditional & urban kizomba.
There were separate party rooms for each style (+bachata). I really loved the classes by Rico & Adda - traditional kizomba. Then JD & Chrissi / Fred Maestro for urban kiz.
Hope there will be 3rd edition and will come for it! Check it - there were super cheap flights flying from Latvia to Oslo.. maybe it’s same for other countries in Europe?
