I had never really thought about what happened in the booth/theater after Lincoln was shot, I feel more focus usually goes to the escape of John Wilkes Booth! Very cool
The Columns, on Broad Street in Milford, Pennsylvania, is a Greek Revival mansion which serves as the museum of the Pike County Historical Society. The museum's collection includes the blood-stained flag which was used as a cushion for Abraham Lincoln's head after he was shot by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. I really apprecciate your videos. You show me a lot of the amazing American culture while I learn English. ( I find it easy to understand you, because you speak clearly and with calm) Thanks dear Bridget.♥️
Stalins letter is for a writer Marietta Sergeevna Shaginyan about his support of her novel "Hydrocentral" (Гидроцентраль). Its about enthusiastic socialistic workers building hydroelectric plant in Armenia. From the age of true believers in bright socialistic future. Dear Comrade Shaginyan ! I have to apologize to you, that I presently unable to read your composition (literary work, prose) and give a preface. Maybe three months ago I would have been able to fulfill your request, but now I am unable to fulfill it due to being overloaded by over the estimate current practical work. As far as speeding up the publication of "Hydrocentral" is concerned, and protecting you from overly "critical" critics, I will make sure about that. Just state it specifically, on whom I should exert pressure, so that things would move from the deadlock. J. Stalin. 20.05.1931
You're welcome! To be honest i failed to decipher it myself, and found the transcript and translation, which i corrected a little, some of the words weren't the best fit. Mine is not perfect either, but a little better.
I really enjoyed this! Cheers 📚
Thanks! :)
