I mean you are critizing it's "stupid plot" but were raving how about Halo.. No sure if I can get on board with you on that aspect. Cysis and Farcry opened up entire genres of open world games which we all play to this day. The fact that they went so linear to hold a generation of console players whos favorite titles are call of duty... I mean, I get it but I also really don't. The 4th game needs a big mix of the original open world + vehicles and the newer more CQB type mechanics, plus advancements to the suits and it could once again become a stand out.
Halo is far from a perfect story, but it is demonstrably better than the story of crysis. I also explained that I liked the open world aspects, I just wish there was more to do within the world. It is essentially a linear game in every way except you can get to the next mission on your own. Pretty tame open world.
I was excited to play this game because I had never actually been able to play it back in the day. Bought it for $12 and started playing. Honestly, I was disappointed and I’ve only put in around 45 minutes so far. I turned it off and really had no desire to turn it back on after that. I’ll try getting back into it but the gameplay just wasn’t very fun. Shallow. And boring. And dumb. Couldn’t have described it better myself.
Crysis is my favourite video game, 50% for the game, 50% for the nostalgia, but I enjoyed your video nonetheless, keep doing what you're doing brother👌
I actually just started playing Crysis last year, I really like it, been recording the games. Just finished Crysis Warhead today, going to start on Crysis 2 in a minute. I did have some issues though with crashes even though my gaming computer is pretty good. Though I have to admit I hate the final boss battles in a way but oh well. Time to see what the rest of the series has to offer
I agree that the story was a C- at best and I feel the game would have benifitted greatly from keeping the huge, open levels that it starts out with. But as the game progresses the levels just get smaller and smaller, which is a shame.
I got abes new n tasty day 1 n I would be so down for a sly cooper remake. but a main reason I like ps 1 n 2 era remasters, I didn't get to finish them as a kid but I loved my time with it and now I have a chance to do so but with better graphics n controls
also crysis was never about the story. it had a sandbox g mod type part on the original PC version that gets left out of the remasters n ports of it. and then you just messed with the physics. that is crysis lol
