C.G. Vargas The actor playing movie Mummy is great too. I also loved when his directors are on the phone talking to the maternity nurse - Not a mother mummy, a Mummy mummy. Answers to the name Harold! Click! - hilarious!
I used to have this on VHS tape...I think it was the Best episode they ever did. I just shared it with my Wife who had never seen it....Thank you for uploading it....
Same! I’ve got it on tape but the clarity is getting really fuzzy on it. I found it streaming on Peacock and watched it last month with my kids. It’s still the best thing ever!!!
Just went looking for this and so happy to find it. I watched this on TV back in the eighties and the closing scene of the director unwrapping the mummy; with what would happen next being left to the imagination of the viewer, has remained in memory ever since. Many, many thanks to Steven Spielberg for all he has contributed over the years.
All i can say is this was GREAT Tv . I was 18yrs old in 1985 would NEVER miss a episode an if i had to work Sunday night i would set my VCR. Wish i could go back and stay in the 1980's forever!. Thank You for uploading i had totally forgotten about this show now to find the DVD set.
The actors they cast for the “backwoods townsfolk” for the City Council meeting or whatever are great! He took to the bottle, he’d been drinking from cans before. That guy was in a Tales From the Crypt. He played a mountain logging crew supervisor. He has the funniest grins.
Love it! Classic TV! • A cleaver yarn … the urban legend of the living mummy that was a side-show attraction gone bad, then it escaped into the swamp… dig it. • Fantastic costumes, with a really nifty looking mummy. • Moody sets … the misty swamp with the blind hermit in his hut ( ala Son of Frankenstein) …...and, o'course, the horror movie filming in the same swamp… Ha! THAT's A WRAP!
This is the greatest Horror series episode of any TV show ever put to film. I've been watching this on loop since I was a kid, and the jokes and humor are way more hard hitting as an adult. Pure 80's Gold.
I'm been hunting for this a long time , I thought it was part of tales from the crypt or alfred hitchcock series , didn't remember this series untill the intro.
Also does anybody know a short film of store clerk that cleans a indian statue and get killed and statue comes alive to get revenge , there was a eps. were people got trap in the middle of a lake with something in the water eating them, I didn't know if they were part of this series or another.Found Amazing Stories box set just didn't know if I need to look for another series.
Saw this when it first aired. Waited and waited for the rerun so I could record it. I've shared it with many friends and we all love it. The funniest half hour of TV we've ever seen! The actor playing the mummy should have gotten an award.
I loved that show and I still do ❤ !!! Mummy Daddy was my favorite episode !!! And still is !!! The only heart breaking thing about it is as far as I know they only aired it once !!! And it deserved better than that. Just my 2 cent opinion !!! At the time, other than Abbott and Costello, the concept of a horror/comedy was all new to me. But obviously I loved every minute of it and still do. I wish so much that they would put it back on TV 📺 !!! And start with this original from 1985, Amazing Stories, season one. episode # 4 Mummy and Daddy. Simply the best. If only I could find it on DVD, I'd buy a copy without delay !!! ❤❤❤
Loved this show when it came out. I'm pretty sure the female who speaks at the town meeting was the same actress who played Almonzo's sister on Little House on the Prairie.
I think this came out in 1985. I was 10 years old watching this with my family. I can remember us all laughing our asses off when he started doing karate😂😂

I bloody miss this program which was my UNHOLIEST obsession when I was 9 and 10 years old! I was DEVASTATED when it was cancelled! This program and the new Twilight Zone which aired on CBS at the same time really sustained me, along with watching re-runs of the original Twilight Zone on WPIX Channel 11.

any truth that this is based on an old Hollywood legend? although granted I feel like in real life any parent would forget to change out of any costume/work clothes to be there on time for the birth,
These stories must have taken all of five minutes to think up typical hollywierd rubbish no wonder kids are growing up twisted and think evil is good and good is evil. SMH

This is my all-time favorite episode of the series. Lots of fun.
I wish Netflix would get the copyright for this series, and Night Gallery, and Tales from the Crypt, and... lol
…and :The Outer Limits" !
They had the rights for the longest, what happened??
You can watch it on the NBC app. Watched it last night, in fact!
...and Monsters, and Tales From the Darkside, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and The Twilight Zone :)
I agree
This remains the very best of the series...Utterly hilarious!!!
OMG!!! A Blast from the past, I grew up watching this show. #MummyDaddy was one of my favorite episodes.

Lol. He definitely was hilarious.

They packed so much fun in this half hour episode!
it takes me to the 80´s. Thanks!!
That was touching: the mummy holding his baby daughter.
The Mummy's a Daddy . It's like they say your never too old 😭😭😭😭😭😭🤣
I miss the old days
Thank you so much for getting me back on this peculiar track of perfectly entertaining narrative! They just had it, back then ...
I have been trying to figure out what this was called for so long . This is great and even funnier than I remembered
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST EVER.
Absolutely Hilarious. Just as funny as when I first saw it on a rented VHS from the local store in the 80s. Why can't I buy it on Amazon?
I bought it on Google TV/Movies a while back. This one and Family Dog are my favorites.

No, this is the entire episode. I compared this one with my copy.
this episode and the one the plane got a magic wheel, those are the two I remembered the most!!!
The plane with the magic wheel episode is called "The Mission."
Go to the Head of the Class from Robert Zemeckis with a fantastic Christopher Lloyd is another great Episode
This ranks with Young Frankenstein. Absolute genius.
The perfect episode ☺️

I laughed until I cried when I saw this when it premiered back in the 80s

Why bother to download these shows when they cannot be watched.
i think stephen spielberg should colaborate with RL STINE to make the scariest movies ever .
Scariest??? I’d say most entertaining but not “scariest”
one of my favorites
Love this funny as shut!

Thanx a lot.
Wow, thanks very much
I wanna see the “head of the class” episode
Steven Spielberg could make watching paint dry an exciting movie or TV show. This is great!
This sort of situation would never happen with Imhotep in the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies, cause when he's not looking human he's CGI.
Brings back memories
Dude... That's like the worst video quality ever. It's like shining a bright flashlight right at the screen so you can't see jack.

Is it purposely made hard to watch with the small screen and glare.
Is this some early Danny Elfman on this episode?
