Yea i leveled this ally up yesterday. I love it. The biggest issue I always have is resummoning RSK while in combat. Like I never have an issue with Furry or Crystal. Then there’s a good amount of content that transforms you so u end up losing RSK. I’ve been pairing this up with the Shazam ally so the might buff is going crazy.

Basically Shazam...who was basically Batman who laughs/Zatanna. But Star outclasses ALL of them. Sure you gotta sacrifice a slot for the weapon buff. But SO worth it. I switched to it just tonight and love it already as i can finally ditch the old depth charge and ebb/flow. To use now a Tsunami strikes supercharge building super build that is SUPER my playstyle. Only have her to the 1% buff right now. But i can wait to release her true power. She is definitely one of the best allies for Dps to use as a passive affect. Also. I think the BEST combat ally right now is Deathmetal Batman. Strong enough to do good damage. But most importantly debuffs the crap out of enemies and the whole TEAM benefits from that. Super useful.

@@ObsidianChillNot sure if you finished Brand of Hecate testing On test server the Might increase works with Word of Power attack(cast from Gadgets Stealth) as well as the increased Power to allies. However on live server the Might is still boosting the damage, but the increased power stays as-if there is no vitalization boost when casting Word of Power from Controller Gadgets Stealth tray. Same with Neo-Venom Boost not increasing damage from Amulet Of Rao, B.O.P Commlink, nor Brand of Hecate(Brand nor Cull)

That's a players choice of whether to spend. The company has to make money somewhere to keep the game running. I suggest skipping one take out meal every month and purchase membership. When on the game, don't just stand in one spot for extended time and run constant content. 💪🏾✊🏾💯
If I remember correctly back in the day, the "weapon buff" like fiery weapon etc used to be might buffs (with the exception of precision based powers like Earth, Celes, Rage and HL) ? Nice to see old school loadouts. You are right as a prec player now, I don't even run RSK bc in elite and elite + dies almost instantly I found. Waste of a power slot.
@apr7853 really... that must have been a long time ago. So fire had a weapon buff that wasn't a weapon buff but ever other power had a weapon buff that was actually a weapon buff...interesting
Thanks Obsidian, I use Munitions with Kyrpto, Batman who Laughs and Shazam. Do I replace Shazam with Starfire or leave my allies as it is? Or do you any other suggestions? Also, I am just a plain ol PFTT player
I would replace BWL myself to take the RNG out of your damage buffs. BWL with muni you don't need the power regen or health so you are only getting use of 2 of the possible procs. Of course if you don't have the ally favor to spare its alot just to invest in a rank 10 ally where BWL is good as well. But if you don't mind leveling it Starfire>BWL for consistency
Obsidian you dont think there is anything outrageous about this direction of balancing the devs took😮? I mean you had ALOT to say about EOG. Obviously there is an imbalance with precision dps having an advantage over might. This is obviously a $$ grab.
The devs are taking the easy route for powerset balancing. Instead of balancing and working on the powers themselves they are using allies and artifacts now to prop up and try to balance powers (like Ivy and nature ally) and might vs prec with allies like JS and Starfire. I don't believe we will every see another powerset revamp (would rather weapons and supercharges first) so while it sucks that its behind a near paywall, especially if you want to be competitive, at the same time I do want to see specifically more powerset based allies. Say we get a quantum ally that removes the cap on timebomb etc, it would be great for quantum etc. I don't like the direction but at the same time I think inside I have just come to accept it because the chance that we get a revamp (that doesn't generate any revenue for daybreak) is unlikely.
@@ObsidianChillI respect this opinion. Tbh Starfire is not enough bc the dmg output gap is still significant with precision. Also, Starfire is based on direct dmg to enemies. There are many instances where DPS have to stop attacking to block or to avoid reflect 1shots from bosses or to do other mechanics. Yes Robot Sidekick dies but it receives shields and healing from players. The dmg difference is not significant enough to say Starfire is better where you may opt to pay real world cash to level her up to the 8%. This is overall a disappointment and it's all the more reason to walk away from the game where the devs clearly see no reason to go above and beyond to invest in the player base.
Starfire ally not worth it for Sorcery Might, unless there is a boss fight where your Robot Sidekick/Fury is dying rather a lot. Sorcery also lacks decent superpowers that clip into Weapon of Destiny so you would have to use Weapon of Destiny on its own.
@Rei_Tatekei no worth it over running the supercharge mods. 1%crit you won't notice but if you aren't running a SC you can run it. Won't make a big difference

earth shouldn't be an issue for power. Maybe in some melee groups if the troll is bad but earth ST is power conservative. HL and Atomic will get slightly better but are still pretty power heavy. But dropping RSK and the slight power regen from corps combo should be an overall improvement for power sustainability.
Do you think she works well with fire? Maybe my LO is outdated but with her my parses are less consistent grated I have her at rank 9 now so maybe I do need to get her that last rank.
For Titanic Battery, wouldn’t it be technically good since it seems like it’s a Transformation Card/Static Shock Ally Support but not for Controllers? Cause doesn’t Crits matter?
its better than nothing, but a group buff like BWL, Zod, DMB will be more useful to the group. More SC regen for you like black adam is still better for the group with the extra sc shields you'd provide. Even using oracle/cyborg to increase your own power so that you can use more recharges etc is better overall for the group. The buff from Starfire just isn't enough when compared to the other controller ally options.
One thing the we need to pay atention is that starfire uses an ally slot and an skill slot, while robot is just one skill slot, does Starfire worth the ally and the skill slot?
@@gabrielmrosa from my experience in at least elite and elite+ content robot sidekick continually dies and would be a damage loss to resummon in combat. The majority of loadouts has a free loadout slot. Either players used RSK or an extra supercharge sometimes. Depending on your powerset it will definitely be worth a ally and skill slot
question- cyborg restores power to the user over time, but starfire provides more crit power heals and magnitude to the group. I don't understand the comparison. Are you running out of power with starfire on and that's why the results are similar? or do the crits actually get offset by the power heal reduction so that the effect is close to zero? I don't run out of power myself, but struggle to keep gadgets prec dps power up the whole time in hallways which I think starfire may be useful for. thoughts?
@@OtsuDC starfire gives extra crits but also reduces all power out at the same time. The test was trying to power a dps who was always on empty. What good is extra crits if you don’t have the power yourself as a troll to give power? Cyborg regens your own power faster so you can then use more instant power regen. The crits are not enough to make a difference when at the same time the total power out is reduced
Where Titanic Battery can work is when paired with Strategist Card Which is not a normal Controller artifact. The increased crits combined with Escalating replenishing procs, and Debuff Efficiency the larger critical power heals make it perform more like Transformation Card, but for power healing. Especially when using a Breakout and looking at the energy recovery criticals (Would be better if Transformation card just applied to Power healing....I can hope for it to one day)* Swapping or having lvl 200 Claw Aelkhound 5%crit buffs also helps.(Oddly Daybreak allowed Claw 5% crit chance and magnitude buffs to apply to all crit damage/heal/power heal

It’s noticeable, but not a big difference. If you’re struggling with your own power as a troll u better get in them greens and run black Adam, because once u pop a supercharge you’re not running out of power yourself again.
@@OtsuDC Admittedly I have only tried Titanic Battery on test server where leveling Artifacts of free* and inconsequential In HOD the Blue power draining orbital beam in final boss fight is trivial with the stacked criticals and either a SC or just a simple breakout from Bane/pull* Where it really gives more power back is with B.O.P. and Black Lantern Energy Steal if there is a plethora of Pets or NPCs (The criticals and strategist card PoT just keep ticking away...very much Niche** especially if doing a Loadout specifically for giving pets power)
Quislet will always be better than grim, there are some that use grim just for gadgets dps but I would still say Quislet. The mega blast dmg from powers and supercharges along with the sc regen is better than grim. If you have power issues you can use an ally like oracle bot or cyborg instead
Hey Obsidian, may I ask with both John stewart and starfire Ally, would it help the might side dps in single target and aoe? And also does the Starfire ally also helps ice might dps better in single target situation?
JS wouldn't help you with ice with no combos. You would be better off with Starfire and Static/Shazam. SF would still be nice with ice you could clip ice bash into ice elemental then you wouldn't need to use it again on IE because you'd have 20sec of buff.
Starfire vs RobotSidekick - you forgetting about 1 thing. If robo wont die you have totaly free dmg. With Starfire you could have low sp, power hungry loadout, group without decent troll and at end you could face decission: on almost empty powerbar use attack or use buff. IMO starfire is only good if you have not power hungry loadout. Also, if see good, you saying that advantage of using Starfire vs Cyborg in troll role is marginal. Thing is that Cyborg give power only for you, and Starfire crits affect whole group, so to test it properlly you need group 4-8 man and check not yours power recived, only how much power they getting.
@@Guttex cyborg would regen you own power so that you as a controller have more power to give. The only reason to use SF as a troll is if you have none of the buff troll Allies leveled.

But Starfire buffed crits/magnitude affect all players in group, so when you count power crits and magnitude on all players in group, then Starfire wont be marginal vs Cyborg. When counting, you considering only single person, but you should consider how it affect whole group.
@@Guttex that test wasn’t what power I was returning myself, I had a dps in the group using an ebon rotation and I was measuring the power I returned to him. That is why I didn’t test Oracle because it would have thrown off the results as it would have provided power back to me

Its more or less should give similiar effect on power out, as transformation card on dmg out, since idea is the same. The debuff to precision is actually 8%. I crunched the numbers from your video. The description is inaccurate and misleading. Your precision only goes up 25%. The buff is normally 33%. Numbers don't lie. Your precision should be going up by 30%. Instead of getting 37,673 added to your base precision you are getting 31,394. This is 25% not 30%. The debuff is wholly inaccurate.
I didn't look at the debuff numbers myself but I would imagine it is as the other buffs and additive so its debuffing based on the base precision and not what is actively shown on the stats page.
It's possible to level an ally without spending *if* big if here, you have enough stabilizers and source marks saved up. Opening certain time capsules drops up to 20k ally xp (jokers legacy? And others, idk don't remember off hand)
Just leveled her to max. On a 30 second parser, no matter what I do or how I do it, I am always at least 1.25 mil LOWER than without her. Total waste of marks and resources.
Not sure what difference it makes. I'm getting much more damage using Krypto, Shazam and BMWL WITHOUT activating Krypto so I'm getting NO buff. Starfire should be giving me an 8% buff, all the time so logically I should be doing far more damage using her. I put her in Shazam's spot since he does nothing without activating Krypto. The math don't math here Chill. I levelled her based on your statement that she's a must and now I'm out a ton of SM and 67 Legendary Alliance.
@@StealthMockingbird you still haven’t mentioned your powerset. Who knows what loadout or rotation you are running as you need to work in a new loadout slot for the weapon buff. I and anyone else that would be trying to help you needs more information

@@ObsidianChill Alright, I still don't see how my powerset makes any difference whatsoever. She's a might buff ally and I'm using might. That's really all that matters. That said, I'm using Ice. I tried replacing RSK with the weapon buff and got 1.5 mil LESS damage. Again, I replaced Shazam with Starfire. My parses with Shazam in slot 2 were without using Krypto. With Krypto, my damage was almost 3 mill higher than using Starfire with the weapon buff. It makes ZERO sense. I tried putting the weapon buff in 2 other slots and no matter what I did or how I did it, I was getting 1.5 mil less damage with Starfire with the buff always activated. 1 sparring target. 8% might buff over no might buff. It doesn't make sense regardless of power or rotation. An 8% buff should do more damage than no buff. If it helps, I have 799sp. All Arts are 200. All allies are maxed.
Bruh this ally can't replace batman cause upon entering combat he does increase might and prec permanently until come out of combat so I will not be getting this ally
Batman only increases might on the first 6 hits of damage then takes a 60 counter to reset. 6 hits is nothing cause it includes dots. You would only have the buff for a few seconds then need to get 60 counter to then again get a buff for a few seconds of damage. Starfire the buff technically never drops.

This ally will be better suited for some power sets but not all. That being said if you are Might DPS it is worth getting.
@TheLQGaming yeah majority of might dps run RSk it's just as easy to clip weapon buff instead. So basically go for all powerset for a might loadout

Many time the tobot just keep exploded itself and i endup stop using it.

In HOD the Blue power draining orbital beam in final boss fight is trivial with the stacked criticals and either a SC or just a simple breakout from Bane/pull*
Where it really gives more power back is with B.O.P. and Black Lantern Energy Steal if there is a plethora of Pets or NPCs
(The criticals and strategist card PoT just keep ticking away...very much Niche** especially if doing a Loadout specifically for giving pets power)

hey, i have a question regarding the arts. which is better, grim + robot sidekick (since grim power regen thing) VS quislet with/without PI?
Quislet will always be better than grim, there are some that use grim just for gadgets dps but I would still say Quislet. The mega blast dmg from powers and supercharges along with the sc regen is better than grim. If you have power issues you can use an ally like oracle bot or cyborg instead
Hey Obsidian, may I ask with both John stewart and starfire Ally, would it help the might side dps in single target and aoe? And also does the Starfire ally also helps ice might dps better in single target situation?
JS wouldn't help you with ice with no combos. You would be better off with Starfire and Static/Shazam. SF would still be nice with ice you could clip ice bash into ice elemental then you wouldn't need to use it again on IE because you'd have 20sec of buff.

Starfire vs RobotSidekick - you forgetting about 1 thing. If robo wont die you have totaly free dmg. With Starfire you could have low sp, power hungry loadout, group without decent troll and at end you could face decission: on almost empty powerbar use attack or use buff.
IMO starfire is only good if you have not power hungry loadout.
Also, if see good, you saying that advantage of using Starfire vs Cyborg in troll role is marginal. Thing is that Cyborg give power only for you, and Starfire crits affect whole group, so to test it properlly you need group 4-8 man and check not yours power recived, only how much power they getting.
@@Guttex cyborg would regen you own power so that you as a controller have more power to give. The only reason to use SF as a troll is if you have none of the buff troll Allies leveled.
@@ObsidianChill Yes, thats what i mean. You measured only what power you as troll will get Starfire vs Cyborg. But Starfire buffed crits/magnitude affect all players in group, so when you count power crits and magnitude on all players in group, then Starfire wont be marginal vs Cyborg.
When counting, you considering only single person, but you should consider how it affect whole group.
@@Guttex that test wasn’t what power I was returning myself, I had a dps in the group using an ebon rotation and I was measuring the power I returned to him. That is why I didn’t test Oracle because it would have thrown off the results as it would have provided power back to me

Asking because its bit wierd that +15%crits, + 25% magnitude and -10% done, give so low effect. Its more or less should give similiar effect on power out, as transformation card on dmg out, since idea is the same.
I wouldnt be suprised if something isnt working as description saying, since they lately making so much bugged things.
The debuff to precision is actually 8%. I crunched the numbers from your video. The description is inaccurate and misleading. Your precision only goes up 25%. The buff is normally 33%. Numbers don't lie. Your precision should be going up by 30%. Instead of getting 37,673 added to your base precision you are getting 31,394. This is 25% not 30%. The debuff is wholly inaccurate.
I didn't look at the debuff numbers myself but I would imagine it is as the other buffs and additive so its debuffing based on the base precision and not what is actively shown on the stats page.

It's possible to level an ally without spending *if* big if here, you have enough stabilizers and source marks saved up. Opening certain time capsules drops up to 20k ally xp (jokers legacy? And others, idk don't remember off hand)
So she's not good for Electric Precision dps?

Just leveled her to max. On a 30 second parser, no matter what I do or how I do it, I am always at least 1.25 mil LOWER than without her. Total waste of marks and resources.

Not sure what difference it makes. I'm getting much more damage using Krypto, Shazam and BMWL WITHOUT activating Krypto so I'm getting NO buff. Starfire should be giving me an 8% buff, all the time so logically I should be doing far more damage using her. I put her in Shazam's spot since he does nothing without activating Krypto. The math don't math here Chill. I levelled her based on your statement that she's a must and now I'm out a ton of SM and 67 Legendary Alliance.
@@StealthMockingbird you still haven’t mentioned your powerset. Who knows what loadout or rotation you are running as you need to work in a new loadout slot for the weapon buff. I and anyone else that would be trying to help you needs more information
@@ObsidianChill Again, how does it matter? If she's working as intended I should be doing more damage than with Shazam. I can give you my loadout but again, the math doesn't work. An 8% buff should do more damage.
@@ObsidianChill Alright, I still don't see how my powerset makes any difference whatsoever. She's a might buff ally and I'm using might. That's really all that matters. That said, I'm using Ice. I tried replacing RSK with the weapon buff and got 1.5 mil LESS damage. Again, I replaced Shazam with Starfire. My parses with Shazam in slot 2 were without using Krypto. With Krypto, my damage was almost 3 mill higher than using Starfire with the weapon buff. It makes ZERO sense. I tried putting the weapon buff in 2 other slots and no matter what I did or how I did it, I was getting 1.5 mil less damage with Starfire with the buff always activated. 1 sparring target. 8% might buff over no might buff. It doesn't make sense regardless of power or rotation. An 8% buff should do more damage than no buff. If it helps, I have 799sp. All Arts are 200. All allies are maxed.
Bruh this ally can't replace batman cause upon entering combat he does increase might and prec permanently until come out of combat so I will not be getting this ally
Batman only increases might on the first 6 hits of damage then takes a 60 counter to reset. 6 hits is nothing cause it includes dots. You would only have the buff for a few seconds then need to get 60 counter to then again get a buff for a few seconds of damage. Starfire the buff technically never drops.
Game is so toxic, devs just use paywalls to balance it, absolute jokers!
