"Kirisute Gomen" is one of my favourites, the tempo change for the chorus throws a lot of people off in a good way.

Yeah, you can really feel the evolution of the band with each realese. Totally amazing.
Love this. I've said before on a video that the last you heard of trivium was something they did in 2003 when they were all late teens/early 20s. Now you get to hear them almost 20 years later with some different members and see the evolution. This album overall is one of their best for me. Everyone is on top of their game, especially alex bent, who is their most recent of 4 main drummers that they have had over time. One of the best in the game right now and practically EVERYONE who listens to trivium will tell you that lol.
Trivium has always had some of the best drummers in music who, in my opinion, none have gotten the recognition they deserve. Not saying they are recognized, just nowhere near what they should be getting. There's many less talented drummers who get way more attention than any of Trivium's have or do! 🤘🏼🥁🤘🏼
@@jangles1839 Travis did when he was in the band but then after him, not so much. People focused hard on the negatives of nick and mat and slowly turned on Travis over time too. Alex is getting some recognition though, he's getting there.

Trivium’s evolution reminds me of Machine Head although both retained their initial sound/style ( metalcore for trivium, groove/nu for machine head) they took on more classic metal aspects and the song writing became far more complex.
I would very highly recommend anything from “The Blackening” by machine head

In the court of the Dragon it is a story from The book the king in yellow by Robert W Chambers.
In the court of the Dragon it's a story about a man who's getting followed by his own death he has dreams of being put in his own coffin. The king in the others other name is Hester he lives in carcosa other dimension world place and in the book The King in yellow. The king in yellow is a play and whoever reads the play to the end goes crazy. I'm guessing the guy who's getting the ridgeville done is the King in yellow and the lady and the boy have been influenced by the play. I don't know that's just my take from the video clip.
YES FINALLY!! This album for me was one of their best front to back. May I suggest you check out The Shadow Of The Abattoir or The Phalanx or No Way Back Just Through. Trivium are amazing and underrated

This video was based on a series of short stories by Robert W. Thomas “The King In Yellow”. If you listen to the rest of the album, this video will make sense. Would love to see y’all do a complete album review. “ In The Court Of The Dragon” is definitely album of the year, in my opinion 🔥🐉. Great reaction ❤️🔥
Seems to be depicting luciferean control of mankind through withcraft/technology. Lotsa Christian theology and how it relates to what's going on right now, from a somewhat unfriendly perspective. It IS however a dope track so I'll give it that
New Trivium definitely brings it much harder than old Trivium, and I love both the new and old material!

Chevelle might be the band you are thinking of, the singer sounds a lot like Maynard.
Tool somehow gets compared to chevelle, I don't see a connection, but there is a band called earshot that came out around the same time as chevelle, the song get away, sounds exactly like Maynard!!

Metal Man is actually a robot master from mega man 2. _I did look this up, mainly because that seemed too obvious and rather cool name for capcom to pass on. XD_ Regardless, a great track suggestion.

Y'all should check out a band called Hurt, I think you'd really vibe on them. They have a song called Rapture which deals with an insanely heavy topic, like seriously dark AF. The influence Tool has had on them is VERY apparent in the song as well. Hope you guys might do a reaction to it, the song is KILLER. (the video is really cool too)

The dragon is anointed and is able control people through Time and space. It’s like a fantasy book. This song is sick. I always get Trivium and Thrice mixed up, they aren’t similar but the names both start with t’s

Trivium is one of my favorite bands they are pretty amazing live I saw them in concert with Arch Enemy in 2017. Their drummer Alex Bent is one of the top ten drummers in Metal. Their sound is Metalcore.
