Great video, saw Billy Fury down London shortly before he died. The Elvis presley fan had a convention down there and Billy came on to talk about meeting Elvis.
My darling mum loved Billy 😍 we have visited his grave many times also we go to Liverpool and take a rose 🌹 to his statue, he will never be forgotten, my parents are Welsh and I'm a born and bread South londoner 💞
Yes it was lovely, my parents have now both gone to their heavenly home and hopefully they have had the pleasure to meet Billy on the other side of life 😊 Ps it was lovely to hear your Welsh accent fond memories of mum and dad 💕
Yup, I have ancestors who lived on Haliburton Street in the 1920's. We've been to Tesco car park to find the exact location. Never seen a picture of the street unfortunately. In around 1961 my parents knew Billy's mum, I'm not sure how, I think it was to do with my grandfather's work on the tug boats? Anyway, perhaps when Billy moved out his mum gave my dad his alarm clock. My dad used it for a while until eventually it broke. My brother, then aged about 4, painted it then my mum threw it in the bin.... and that was the end of that! 👍
Thanks for the story - we never realise what we've got until we've chucked it 😄. Yes, there's old maps of toxteth area you can find online, and Halliburton was just about opposite where I was standing just a little off-cemtre to the junction opposite. Thanks for watching 👍
Superb documentary of Billy's early years, very informative.

Does anyone know which hospital in North Wales Billy attempted to abscond from?
Hi Rachel. I don't know specifically myself- only it was 'convalescence' in the Prestatyn area. Thanks for watching 👍
