This otherwise mysterious "Mark" is told us in Mt.12:34 context, "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." This "Mark" identifies a person as either belonging to Christ, or not. It evidences the individual by our hearing, not by a literal, visible "Mark." Do you really suppose there will be some kind of factory tattooing people who are for or against Christ doing this tattoo work? Who will be given such discernment to know evil from good? Will a faithful witness called of Christ, being the only kind of person qualified, be doing the tattooing? No. Hearing what a person says of Christ reveals whose side he is on by what he says. Mt.12:30. This is not new but has been what false Christians and real Christians have been revealing themselves by since Cain, when this "Mark" became on men by God. The called of Christ, as in Ro.8:28-30, need no other form of identifying the unbeliever, being the called, and they only, are given Divine discernment to know good from evil. This applies to discovering a false prophet/ false Christ as well.
