Keep riding Phil! I’m turning 40 real soon. Spent my 30’s finding my where my limit is… now I ride within my limits. My MTB mentor is in his 50’s!

Phil, you just have to stop crashing! I learned this 30+ years ago. All your arms and legs(and head) need to work properly, if you want to keep riding. I am still riding mountain bikes and dirt bikes, at 70yrs. Raced dirt bikes for 15yrs., decided riding for the rest of my life was more important than racing and riding as fast as I could go. Haven't missed a week of riding my mountain bike and/or my dirt bike in 30yrs. I wear protective gear in case of small/low speed falls, but have had no crashes at speed to stop me from riding, since my decision. You can do it Phil!

I am a MTB tour guide/coach, just ride some blue trails until you get comfy and warmed up! Concern yourself with stability and safety, the speed will be a result of safe and stable riding! Go get it and be Down to Mob MTB style!

Injuries do catch up with you in your 50s & 60s, I can testify to that! My years of sports and other things have slowed me down a bit.

Phil... im 62.... and mountain bike... ride electric dirt bikes.... dirtbikes (KTM 500 etc).... all the crashes (crashing sucks) are for the most part... all worth it, being that guy that's done all those things.. Id be lost without them in my life.. ya just move a little slower.. take it a little easier.. and realize your going to ache a lot more - cheers!

Next time out either go out alone or let the pack leave and wait 2 minutes. Find your own pace and let the joy creep in! With trail time your pace will gradually pick up without the competitive aspect pushing you to ride over your head..Works for me anyway.

Don't be blaming age for not mountain biking, I'm 50 next year and riding techy trails, you are just missing seat time. Ride more! crash less.

If you have the opportunity to review the coyote extreme all electric. It would make a beautiful video.👍🇨🇦

Keep riding but stay off the black diamonds. I’m almost 50 and spend a lot of time riding dirt bikes with my 72 year old father in law (old school desert enduro racer). We both know our limits and are into sight seeing more now. Injuries hurt more and take a long time to heal as you age. Preserve your body so you can still enjoy life later on.

Phil, Colby is younger, he rides every day and weighs 50lbs less than you. Quit whining and get back on your bike just like your father used to tell you when you fell off your first bike😂
