A short vertical spread is an options strategy composed of both a long and short option, using the same underlying stock and the same expiration. It’s a relatively neutral strategy with only a slight directional bias depending on the side you sell (call or put).
It can be created by selling an out-of-the-money option while simultaneously buying an even further out-of-the-money option.

Great video, as always. I used to sell spreads frequently in RH, but never tried in TOS... Might give it a shot. Seems like the risk v reward is backwards with this strategy though?

Is there a way to display the strike prices in pairs of whichever width one woulld like to see, ? Initiating both legs separately and not able to view the pairs is not very user friendly.

I'm trying to do the same in Interactive Brokers, but even though I do it and close the vertical spread. I still get emails of the investment expiring soon, I don't understand that part. Maybe I'm buying it back wrong. Do you have any suggestion or an upcoming video for Interactive Brokers?
