    About me:
I've been making short films for 20 years, starting at age 11. I directed my first feature film, Bad is Bad, in 2010. Made for only $6,000, the film went on to reach over 7 million views and garner critical acclaim. More recently, my short film, Will "The Machine", screened and won awards at film festivals around the world. Released online in 2019, it reached over 1 million views in just a month. I also work as a video editor, cutting for clients such as Apple, Netflix, and Beats by Dre.

Absolutely jealous of this set up, but it's a kind of 'happy, inspired' jealousy.
I got my first desk several months ago, and am really enjoying it. And it has made things so much easier in terms of study and just working on projects. I used to have to do all that on my bed before.
My plan is to eventually start adding 'crap' to my desk area too, just to make it more of a pleasure to work at.
    Nice what you've done here.

  • @klaernie

There are in my opinion only three ways to control cables:
    1. wire ties salvaged from all the equipment one bought over the years: for quick and temporary fixings
    2. velcro-tape like the "topk" stuff one finds on aliexpress: suitable for long term organization and bundling
    3. actual cable-ties: for decades-lasting mounting
I've come to hate rubber bands, since they always disintegrate.

Ive done a few major desk projects in my life and all of them had a second level shelf at the back for my speakers and monitors on top and my amplifier and power points and leads underneath, your cable management looks great but having to climb under the desk to plug/unplug gets old fast, I know most of it is never going to move but some of it is always going to. Every one has there own tastes on which side of clean vs practical they want to be on though. Great video!

a very good video and edit. I have the same keyboard from Logitech and I love it, only thing I wished it had extra is backlit.
the only thing that I would suggest is - to get a Logitech wireless mouse. I use the M720 triathlon and like the keyboard, it can connect to 3 devices. BUT the main reason is Logi Flow, it allows you to use your keyboard and mouse as in KVM switch, seamlessly move between Windows and Mac OS.

Sheesh! Lots of other cool ideas in there too. I'm definitely getting a monitor light as well. Thank for the wakeup! Adhesive zip locks and adhesive round rubber cable ties are not very good because the adhesive does not last and they will end up in the floor. The way cables are around the power brics is just a mess. Just use regular zip ties and zip all the cables properly.

Please be careful with the angle and height of your monitors, constantly looking up and down and to the right to look between screens is gonna stress your neck. Try to keep your large monitor directly level with your eyes and the tablet only slightly offset from the monitors location.
