Wow! I am jealous, fresh fish, veggies, fruits. I don't remember when was the last time I ate gooseberries or currants....you can't get them here in San Diego. Great market place 👌
Natural foods quality here is very good. I have far fewer digestive issues here than I did in the US. Not something I really like to share on camera, but it's a big plus of living here. The quality of produce at these markets is terrific.
Welcome from Toronto. What a beautiful market in Krakow, Poland, we are enjoy the same, you are. Everything looks so good and fresh. Good to know, where is this Stary Kleparz, in Krakow. We can buy everything, what we need to eat. Great, we are already jealous, what a beautiful shopping. Thanks
According to Gazeta Krakowska Bell Zygmunt toll tonight for 3 minutes at 9 pm. Then all other churches bells in Krakow churches answered. It must have been incredible . Lovely pictures in the paper from the parade - korowód too.
Try this for yellow beans: Cook in salty water, like a potato till it's soft(about 20 minuts),on another pan put same bread crumbs and wait for them to get goldish/brownish color, then add into it same butter, to make it "wet", an pour it on top of the beans, eat.Smacznego
Yellow pepper: buy same ground meat and mix it with rice, add same spices like salt,pepper....cut off the ends and fill bell peppers. In the deep pan- like a soup pan ,deep-put same flour with a little bit of salt and little bit sugar ,heat it to the point when it start to smell and get goldish color then add can of tomato souce or diced tomato, or even fresh, add water and put peppers in to it,cook under cover slowly for about 40 minutes or so....it is call staffed peppers in tomato

I know it's not what you would ever do, especially if you don't own a car in Krakow. But go to Plac Imbramowski. It's at the Northern edge of the city and is probably the most well stocked marketplace. The prices are generally lower by 20 to 30% but it's remote. There is an awesome apple stall, a specific tomatoe stall, tons of people selling local produce from the surrounding farmland. I know it's not as fancy as Targ Pietruszkowy with their EU approved everything, but it's probably more authentic.
We already did and made a vid about it! We liked it a lot and prices were great as you say. We will go back there for sure. Stary Kleparz is our fave right now - it's closer as you note and I like the choices there.
@@planetkrakow ooops. My bad. I apologise. Digression. But for the sake of fairness. Times have changed. About 3 to 4 years ago there were a lot of producers selling things on Imbramowski, nowadays it's mostly middlemen.
Glad you like the videos. I'm not actually a Real Madrid fan - it was a gift to me when I visited Madrid and I like the shirt :) For football my team is SUNDERLAND, but I don't think PSG will be buying anyone from us soon. Though both Jordan Pickford and Jordan Henderson are local boys and products of our academy. Merci beaucoup!
Get some Kurki mashrooms (yellow ones) fry it on the butter, then add eggs, mix it with some sour cream and scrumble it - pinch od salt, hearty pinch of black pepper. You can thank me later ;)
Cool video...I will hopefully be in Krakow in August unless there are new Covid restrictions. Just wondering, can you pay with card in the market stalls there or only cash?
I only used cash - didn't try using my card here. Cards are very widely accepted, including at other markets I have visited. Usually preferred to cash. Hoping to visit another market today!
Stuffed peppers (with meat and rice and tomato sauce with cream) are the best! Yellow beans are the best with meat (steak for ex.) boiled 3-5 mins in salted water with a pinch of sugar... or just like a treat (for a late dinner) with bread crumbs roasted on a butter. The simpliest recipies = the best :) Or (non polish recipe) yellow beans are delicious in Nicea salad :)
I just read the thumbnail... Kleparz (the Barn-floor) is the oldest still working market of Krakow, the oldest known market of Krakow is "Mały Rynek" (the Little Market) which was the main market of Krakow before 1240 when Mongolians came and burnt the whole city.
We do explain in the description that its the oldest continuously operating market - there's only so many letters you can fit into the thumbnail or the title 😂

According to the dictionary, "renkloda" (the yellow plum) is "greengage".
They're wild blueberries. Way better than the stuff we get here in the UK.
