You make perfect sense Matt! Why trade a #1 for an older version of what the Jets project Corley to be??? And I'm not saying Malachi will be Deebo, but the kid looks like a monster so far! Many DBs are not gonna want to try are tackle him!

Trade proposals aren't even worth talking about. It's just some person's idea of a hypothetical situation. Trade rumors are worth speaking about...proposals? No.
The UA-camrs talk about anything they can, if Rodgers had blister on his left pinky they’ll talk about it.

We have hopefully a much younger, cheaper and less damaged Deebo. We would just be doing what we do which is to sell away the future for someone who will get the bag and retire in place.

Nah we keep our first we have a solid wr room in my opinion obviously DEEBO is a stud but look what Joe can do in the first round (outside of qbs) avt, sauce, Garrett, jermaine, even McDonald looks good let’s keep our draft picks
Garret Wilson, Mike Williams, Deebo Samuel, Malachi Corley … just saying that sounds real dangerous for a healthy Rodgers if we are talking all in Super Bowl for this one season specifically.
Deebo and Corley’s style of play translates into beat up bodies and minor injuries throughout the season. It may not be a terrible decision to have both of them on the same roster.

Maybe, they learned from the past that it's always good to have good depth at all positions due to injuries. If the trade was to happen it would give Corley some time to grow at the slot position and learn the playbook. Can never have enough talent. My only concern is if our OC is creative enough to design plays for the players best traits on offense. Maybe, he learned from last year as well. Also, I would prefer they get an outside receiver too, it is appropriate and common sense although we have G.W and M.W.💚

100% if we are doing a mid season trade for a WR I’d rather get a guy like Tee Higgins. We need another big target incase Williams goes down.
Don't trade for first rounder or any valuable picks. The Jets scouts are doing a phenomenal job getting us talent through the draft.
The 49ers think Joe Douglas is stupid. The 49ers have run the Debo car into the ground and are ready for a new model and want to sell him to the Jets for top dollar; man, miss me with that crap.

Academically I think your points are dead on and so I officially agree! But instinctively I would probably feel happy seeing Deebo in a Jets uniform. The problem with being a Jets fan for 45 years is you learn to expect there are ALWAYS lions at your door just when you think the coast is clear. And not lions like Detroit but lions that eat you. Such as the Late Season WR Injury Bug lion.... (gawd forbid)
It would make sense to look for a wide receiver at the trade deadline if the Jets are in the mix. Maybe the Raiders are out of it and Adams is available? Deebo to the Jets doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn't do it, but I also still don't understand the Fashanu pick for the same reasons. If we're in a win now scenario, why use our top 10 (11) pick on a position that we just signed a hall of famer at? If you just needed depth, why not take a tackle in the 3rd? Now our first rd pick is going to ride the bench 75-80% of the year, possibly more, when we could've drafted a weapon that's out there every week making a difference.
i think it’s more likely than not that olu sees the field relatively soon. also, this pick is good for now and great for the future. i’m not as mad about the pick anymore
K G,the Hall of famer has been injured quite a bit.If he goes down, which is almost predictable, what do you suggest ? Anyone on the roster except for Olu can't/ won't step up adequately.
He misses 2-4 games a year on average. So Olu starts 2-4 games? It's not like we have tackle packages that go in and out. The starting tackle is playing the whole game, barring injury. I just wanted to spend my top 10 pick on a guy who would be on the field when the team is at full strength.
If we had any other QB other than Rodgers I would be ok with the pick, but since we're in win now mode, I wanted us to get the guy who gives us the best chance to win now.
Barring any major injury, Tyron Smith is going to be starting if/when we're in the playoffs, so what are we getting from our top 10 (11) pick when it's time to chase the chip?
@@kgordon8834 we’re not exclusively in “win now mode” we’re in that mode but at the same time trying to plan for the future. if rome was there at 10 the jets would’ve taken him. he wasn’t so they took insurance/a great tackle. simple. be happy with corley and the young backs because they’ll have big roles this season.

Deebo is a good player, but he has a lot of mileage on him. Why take a chance when you have Breece, Braylon, Davis, and Izzy? All with a lot less punishment on their bodies. Oh you mean you want to use him as WR instead? We'll in WR room we have Garrett, Williams, Corley, Gipson, and Brownlee. Which would you cut?
I wouldn’t do it, we have a lot of guys I’d like to keep in contract extensions next season and I feel we have a loaded roster right now, Rodgers will have plenty of targets.
Teams need to start using/ trading for kids still on rookie contracts. Wait until trade deadline and make trade for kid on rookie contract, but no way 1st round pick.
No trade for Deebo. If we are talking about mid-season trade better to keep those picks and resources. Players are going to get injured and I want the ability to plug holes.
We are better off taking chances on draft. We don't have the cash to pat Deebo, plus current positional players out of college are more NFL ready than ever before. We need the cash to sign our class of 2022 and other team players.
Jets may not need another WR. They may need a player at another position. If Jets trade for Deebo the slot will be awfully crowded.
Deebo is going to age like a RB. He’s got one more productive year left

OMG please don't trade for Deebo Samuel. There is a 1% chance that we use his skills and talents correctly. Dude has been exceptionally efficient, no way our broken offense can handle a player of this magnitude. Waste of money
