First time hearing of this artist. Came up on my Apple Music recommendations. And I love the sound, the overall combination of styles is a new “vibe” for me (see what I did there?!). I really like the vocals. I like the sound of her voice, the timber. I don’t usually understand exactly what she’s saying but I’m really loving the rhythm of the words. I love that guitar sample. I’ve listened to dozens of tracks from around the world, I own “the world of Drum And Bass“ series on vinyl but those songs don’t impress me as much as this one does. I actually had to check a couple times (because the first time I thought maybe I missed it) that this wasn’t a remix of a non-DnB song. There are a lot of very poppy drum And Bass songs and most don’t work for me. But this sounds so cohesive and natural - The radio friendly elements and the drum and base elements really seem to have a perfect marriage. Lot of Degs songs i’ve felt the same about, like “Sleepless“ but this does that and brings in new sounds that I don’t hear often like that guitar and just the way she raps and sings. Great stuff!
