I need to replace both of those plastic pieces under the headlights on my truck. Any idea where to find them? What are they called? I can't find them anywhere
Great video thanks. I was trying to get to the horn, but impossible from below. From the top looked like the only way so very helpful on how to remove the headlight. For me, removing the grill is easier using a rod (like a Jack handle) to pop out from the back rather than pulling from the front.
I hope I never have to remove the ones in my 2018; poor design. I think when they redesigned the front end in 2016 they moved the horns to a vertical position like they are on the 99-07 classic trucks. At least this is how they are on my '18.
I need some help I have a amp powering 2 marine speaker but I was under powering them so I upgraded amp it only plays bass the tweeter wont work and it ain't blown because i hooked up to the underpowered amp and it works fine
They don't want you working on it. Look at a 2003 vs a new one and how easy they ised to be. Actually thr 1999 Silverado brochure shows how easy they were to work on.
Doesn't matter if it's American, European or Asian. They're all similar to this. So many cars you have to pull the bumper skin off. Should be two vertical stands and a pin up top. Look up 99-2006 Silverado. Pull the headlight out in 5 seconds. They're engineering them to be difficult on purpose.
Not sure why you include Chevy in there. They’re totally different. As far as removing the grill and trim and just about everything else. My 2014 2500 hd wasn’t close to the same
Thanks bro, they didn't need anything but oil changes when I got out of mechanics XD
Thanks for watching
i would have broke that trim without this video thank you
So glad the video helped you!
Thanks to UA-cam - how it's done videos!

So glad this helped!
Did you bend your prybar yourself or buy it? If so where?
I got it from SnapOn

That's good to know, at least they figured out the issue and did something about it.
What size LED did you need?
You can check the bulb style on Sylvania's bulb guide.
Thanks man

Glad it helped! It was tricky taking these out so I figured a detailed video would help others.

Cuz I know you do things with systems so I was wondering I'f you now why
Was it a full range amplifier or a mono block? Can you give me the model number to look up?
@@AnthonyJ350 oh um I'm real not shore someone gave it to me

@@AnthonyJ350 my fault lmfaoo thanks for the help tho
Why do they make new trucks with parts thats seem like they were never supposed to be removed

This is insane just to replace a headlight assembly. American engineering at its worst. Jeez. Speaking from a engineering perspective.

Fk gm for this bs. I had an '01 and now have a '14 Sierra. The '01 was a piece of cake while this is a massive pia.
Ohhhh totally agree. I have no idea how they made the '01 so serviceable and the 2014 is just hard to take apart in almost every area.
