As I have said elsewhere Sheffield knife makers lost their way and were out in the Wilderness for many years, it is heartening to see some Sheffield makers turning out quality knives again, be great if young people are brought along so it grows and in future Sheffield will be respected again.

I think it's just great that we have another outlet for buying Sheffield knives,will definitely pick up one of the IXL barlows,would love to see a review of the gunstock before taking the plunge tho!

Nice find!! I don't think they come around very often. Cool to have in the collection. My stockman has still not arrived. I think it may have been a second as the tang stamp is filled away slightly. Thanks for the comment!

Morning pal thanks for the shout out , firstly I bet you have got that IXL stockman of Etsy 😂 iv had that on save for a while haha beautiful knife pal can't wait for you to get it , as for eggington Steven cocker and his wife are the managers now so we can expect some beauties 🙂 ,they just have to look at the prices for us tight arses 😂😂 , and the book is great I got a bit upset as I was born and bred in stannington and know all the buildings well brought back some lovely memories, anyway much more important pal looks like HH have some rose craft blades dropping soon 😍 the Barlows look amazing keep up the great work 👊

The only Rosecraft I may be interested in is the plain bone barlow. And then it depends on the price? If it's 60-70 I've got other things on the list I want more. Hope you're doing good? 👊
