I'm the captain (we don't even have a coach) of a Slowpitch hobby team and I started looking for drills to spicen up our trainings. Love what I find on your channel. Keep up the great work.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:02 📚 Divide players into positional groups during practice to maximize efficiency and avoid excessive standing around. Infielders, outfielders, and pitchers can work separately with their respective coaches, each focusing on their specific skills and drills. 02:12 🏋️♂️ While infielders work on their defensive skills with a coach on the field, outfielders can utilize the batting cage for additional reps. Players can use a tee or receive front toss from teammates, eliminating the need for a coach's presence for every group. 03:10 🔄 Continuously rotate the groups to ensure that all players get adequate practice time. For example, after 20-25 minutes, outfielders can switch to the field while infielders move to the batting cage. Pitchers can engage in various activities, such as PFPs or arm care, while other groups practice. 04:18 🏃♂️ During batting practice with multiple groups, assign specific tasks to each group. For example, one group can hit BP, another can work on base running, and a third can shag balls. This approach ensures constant movement and engagement, avoiding idle time during practice. 05:56 🤝 Recruit other coaches or volunteers to help with practice execution, especially in scenarios with limited coaching staff. Proper delegation of responsibilities allows the head coach to focus on guiding players and improving team performance. 06:53 🙏 Show appreciation to coaches for their dedication and time in volunteering. Being a coach is challenging, and their efforts to improve the game and support players are invaluable. Made with HARPA AI
it’s hard to see a balls moment if it’s down the middle I’ll either take a step or 2 to the right since your most of the time throwing to first or lean on my right leg with my left foot on the heel so the front is lifted and I change my perspective and just have to shift my body weight and I’m already in momentum
It doesn’t. Get comfortable in the outfield. Sorry. It’s a righties world & a righties game. Don’t cry, take a look at the distance in right field fence compared to left field. You’re welcome. It’s fair compensation.
Especially in little league, I see so many first basemen act as though they don’t field the ball at all. As soon as it’s hit, they turn and run to the bag. At that level, everyone is playing defense. Short answer yes, first basemen should be hitting these as they are all fielding and movement oriented.
I help my 6 yr old grandson with coach pitch. He is left handed, and it would be helpful if you show at least 1 left handed player doing the drills. He's about to start his 2nd season of coach pitch and believe it or not, he's a switch hitter at 6 years old!😁
Madden is such a pitcher, couldn’t help but to show it in these drills😁. Great video once again!!
That’s was such an awesome video. Really feel the enthusiasm of the coaches!
Did a few of these with my tball softball squad tonight.

2:25 that drill i needed. !
What gloves are these guys using?
If you are left handed, is drill backwards? What do you recommend?
Everything becomes awkward, and I think instead of the dart, you just receive and sidearm

I’m a shortstop so I need these drills
do we do the opposite as a lefty?
can you send me the link to buy the smoosh balls?
So how does it work for lefties?

Would these drills apply for firstbasemn? Also, why not stay in the line of fire?
