Arnold mentioned that having no backup plan makes you perform better in sports. I think that's the same for everything.

If you only have plan A you do whatever it takes to get it done. If you have multiple plans you are not as hungry or mortivated or inspired. In fact it is very risky to have only plan A. Maybe that is why plan A better as the hardest things in life are usually the best.

In my opinion that is quite a naive conclusion and not wise at all. Just because someone prominent, successful and/or popular said something doesn't mean it will personally work for anyone. It needs to be verified personally to know how it works and if its beneficial or detrimental to a person. Stop the laziness and personally find the truth of the matter rather than relying on hearsay.

I don't think it's the same for everything. Say you guitar and you have a show. Did you prepare for it? No, Arnold said it's best if I don't. Show starts and you lose the pick. Wtf you do now? Stop the show? What if you prepared yourself like have spare picks in ur pockets? Have back up guitarist? When performance matter short term, I think it's better to prepare. When you're trying to get better for long term results and failures in between don't matter, they only make you better for sure.

@@badbed2202 Agreed, not to dismiss rational thought since that's where logic gets the input to process but what what my opinion meant was the use of extreme generalization ("same for everything") of the initial post is, in my opinion, misguided.

As Ni hero (intj) this makes so much sense 😂 the only time I get anything done is when there’s a (rapidly approaching) deadline when I no longer have the freedom to consider all the possibilities and am FORCED to be productive. The deadline HAS to be with an external party, self imposed deadlines don’t really work (probably because of Fe caring for others experience more than one’s own)

Quick question being that ni parent can make impulsive decisions how do you help them not do that? Is that about asking them if what they want is really necessary? Or do they really want it? Can it wait ? Etc? And is it better when they are more mature ?

I have noticed that there are recurring dynamics in the extended relationships between the different types.
In my experience, if an INxJ is in a relationship with an ISxP, and an ENxP is a friend of both, there is a risk that the ENP, if immature and in its demon, could have derisive and devaluing inclinations towards the INxJ, because he sees him as a rival and has no intention of accepting what he is (Yes), so his self will push him to compete with the INxJ.
In all of this, ISxPs might appreciate it, because their Ni baby is envious of INxJ's hidden potential and mysteriousness and their ability to perform, and they hate the hatred that their partner INxJ obscures them from making them. others note the qualities and beauty of the ISxP.
The INxJ could in his demon that drags him into laziness, passivity and uncertainty.
