I'm a simple man, I see a Cooking with Clams upload, I smash that like button. Cool scenes along the way to New York, cool cat plates, and good looking sheepshead preparation. Cheers brother
Sheepshead are great tasting fish. I used to load up on the fiddler crabs and fish the pylons off Lantana Bridge. We would scrape the crustaceans off of a seawall and use it for chum. We would catch giants!
I love this guy I watch key west waterman and was always interested in the chill guy who was on the episode every once and a while! Now I’m a fan I’m a home chef and fish Florida waters once a year but reside in NH so this whole thing makes sense to me😊 love it
Sheepies are really tasty. That oyster farm was pretty cool. Our Appalachicola oystermen are having a rough time because of salinity problems in-the bay . Apalachicola river is not getting enough water. Enjoy your channel, glad I found it.
I have been watching since you started and just realised you have 20k subs WOW. Thats is awesome man. One day im gonna invite you down here to south africa and we will make a trip all along the coast of south africa. Its something that you need to experience.
Looked like good ol" southern fried fish to me! Those brusselsprouts looked great. If I was you, I'd keep those crabs out of the beer cooler. Hope Mama Clam had a great day at the card table.
Great video Will! It’s called fishing and not catching for a reason. At least you caught a few fish. That tartar you made sounds so good. I love fresh dill in mine. Great looking plate of food. Merry Christmas to you & Mama Clams! Thanks for sharing!!!
Start...love your videos and have been following you for quite some time now. Your channel is one of my few that I'll drop most anything I'm doing to watch when I get an notification, thanks for all you do! Wish I could have pulled my head out of the gutter and gave you a hard time bout the cat plates, but...nothing youtube friendly came to mind. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next!
Any road trip that can be broken up......that is a great stop!! Fishing and eating oysters....bonus!! Very pretty down that way....we have some friends that live near Wilmington! Those cat plates.........were awesome!!!
Aloha. I sent your Christmas greetings to Aaron. Still waiting for the Honda/10$ Coleman, catch, clean, and cook road trip. I’ve never seen a picnic table in a car before. Don’t know why I’m so fascinated by it.
Cool episode! I’m actually moving to NC right after the New Year, after 21 years down here in Fort Lauderdale, and growing up in NJ, so I’ll be a complete newbie to learning the NC fishing scene. Definitely will be hitting up the sheepshead. As for NY, besides maybe getting in a cod trip before you head back down, maybe check out if any herring are around yet? I enjoyed those herring videos last year! As always, keep on keeping on, brother. Always enjoy your videos and adventures 👍🍺
@@CookingWithClams because I'm with the Staten Island fishing club and these guys got boats add a couple of them picked up some nice size Sheepshead and I know that they got sheep's head on Staten Island but I do not know exactly where to go cuz I don't have a boat to catch them you know
@@CookingWithClams yeah because these guys in my club like you know and I know Green crabs are for Blackfish that's what these guys were going for they're going for Blackfish and they were picking up black fish with Sheepshead combined using the Blackfish candy rig
In your opinion, what determines a good tasting oyster over one that’s not? Kudos on the channel also, you produce an informative and enjoyable video. 😎
Another great video , Cheers so much for this video I'm learning how to cook fish alot better then I use too , Was wondering would you happen to have a cookbook ?
@@CookingWithClams got another question Clams...couldn't figure out how to message you. I want to do sushi with sheepshead. Reading some internet comments some don't recommend sheepshead raw. I wanted to go to the Clams for an educated answer. Would you eat it raw in sushi?
@@tylerread1068 I would! But you have to fillet it then wrap in paper towel and let rest for at least one night. It’s also very important how you slice it. Look up vids on how they slice snapper
Never put peperocini's (sp?) In my tartar sauce. Ill have to try that. I do put a little dijon mustard in it though. Sheepshead is a fine eating fish for sure though.
IM SEEING SOME UA-camRS IN MIAMI POSTING MANATEE HUNTING. NOW THAT WOULD BE AN INTERESTING SHOW TO SEE WHAT YOU DO WITH MANATEE MEAT! ON THE OTHER HAND THERE ARE SOME UA-camRS HERE ON THE COAST OF ALABAMA CATCHING SHEEPHEAD ON WALMART LIVE WORMS!

Looks delicious. Those oysters were the best I have seen in a while. Ever since they closed Appalachi bay from harvesting them.
These are incredible! Conor does ship so look him up N.sea oysters

Beautiful fish!!
Hopefully they come back to nyc
Looks amazing. Well I’m hoping to go out and do some sheepshead fishing myself on the third.
Nice! Hope you have better luck than us
👍👍
At 26:07 - the way that cat was staring .........
Hahaha
Stop it right now LOL! Did ya see me waving from Raleigh? Now I gotta run to the coast to find more stuff to check out!

Man you should have brought some green crabs with you that'll do the trick too

I mean green crabs should work for Sheepshead also I think

I’m partial to briny and less creamy oysters. Nice form texture. Slightly sweet
that is unreal ~=))
Thank you!
Sheepshead is great eating ! I probably don’t need to tell you but don’t miss the throats on the larger sheepshead.
Determined to get a bigger one

I buy those big fat jars of Peperoncini's and munch on them all the time, love those things... I'll have to try them in a tarter sauce!!!
It’s definitely not a traditional tarter sauce but you’ll love it
Come to Tampa Bay this winter. We can put you on them. Delicious fish.
I’d love that! Need a little redemption

Fort Desoto Pier (during winter), Tampa, St. Pete's, Madeira Beach are the best places to catch some fat sheepsheads!
I gotta get there
Looks good except for the sprouts. (Not a sprout fan). Was the oyster guy the same one you an Aaron went out with?
