As a kid, in the first Mario Party, I always picked Mario, when I play as him, Luigi, Wario, and Donkey Kong, and now Waluigi came to existence, I pick him
The best improvement seem to be Defuse or Lose, I love King Bob-omb's animation and the bigger fear of being jumped on by your teammate, and Shy Guy Says due to the fake outs that Shy Guy throws at you, seem way harder to read. Thus giving more challenge to the game. The worst is Platform Peril, it might as well be called Platform Jog. The platforms are way too big and don't fall fast enough, which gets rid of any "peril" the game may have had. The gaps between platforms are too small, and for whatever god forsaken reason, despite the fact you have Treasure Divers in the game, (which you reduced the coin count) you decided to make PP a freaking Coin collector. Sure the original had some bonus coins you could collect, but that was a risk vs reward system, do you avoid the walls and the other players to grab the coins, and potential lose a lead and run the risk of falling off. Or do you simply race to the end to get the 10 coins and that's it. It was a race in the original, now it just seems like a lazy coin collector. Graphically Jump the Gun suffers too, and Leaf Leap it may just be me, but in this footage has a lot of slow down. Plus though this is a nitpick, I miss the unique colours of the balls in Three Throw, Bumper Balls and BIOTC. I get there are 20 plus characters, so that would be hard, but it is a real shame.
Wait, they remastered the minigames and tunes but not the victory melody? I feel empty without hearing the victory tone from Mario Party 4 and 5 for example. By the way, I liked the fact that they gave more love to the Gamecube, remastering more minigames than the N64, like in The Top 100, although the minigames of MP7, 8, 9 and 10 are missing

How come they didn’t get other previous Mario Party games involved in this? Like even Nintendo missed one game in the GameCube era and the Wii/Wii U Games didn’t even get a single minigames in this, was this just to make more rooms for new thought-out ones?
And Mario Party DS is still overlooked it seems. That game only had a few good mini games anyway that probably have better counterparts on console. MPDS is the only good Mario Party I've played(Island Tour is weird and Super is a bit forgettable) hopefully this one's good.
