Wave dodging and playing chicken

This is the third film in our seaside safety series and tells the story of four teenagers playing chicken on Brighton beach during a period of big waves and strong winds. This film highlight how the fun and thrill of wave dodging can turn to tragedy within seconds.
The city’s beaches are different from many other beaches along the British coast as they have steep shingle that makes entering and exiting hazardous.
Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard if you see someone in trouble on the coast .
