More cores and thread for 20$ less yes I’m talking the Ryzen 7 5700x
Y’all gotta look at the 1% lows. It’s higher usually on the 5700x. Meaning smoother feeling. May not always be a big fps jump but you will feel the difference
@@jamesschaller753 i just double checked, on r6, gta v and valheim r5 is better 3:23 4:16 8:43 ,on apex and wz r7 is slightly better, and in bf its a lot better, so actually based off of only these games tested, the 1% and 0.1% lows are better on the ryzen 5
I have a 5700x with a 6700 XT. Only for gaming the 5600x is more than enough. If you want a little bit more (and the price is fair) the 5700x will give you a little bit more all around performance.
I also have a 6700xt, looking to do a last am4 upgrade from a 3600. Which has been a fantastic cpu btw since '19. Sure the 5600x would be great, and I looked at the 5800x. But the 5700x seems like a reasonable option.
@@jonpeley Hey, no problem. Im going with same setup as you but will use a 6750xt, are you facing any issues with your setup when gaming, how is it?
@@avanisavanis3589my only issue was when I updated from Windows 10 to 11. I had some random BSODs. With a clean Windows install that problem faded away. It's stable and works great in every situation.
At least where I live, the 5700X is actually the cheaper option.
where yall live? 5700x is rn like 20% more expensive than 5600x and 45% more than 5600 in poland (5700x-180usd, 5600x-150usd, 5600-130usd)
@@ILWESI'm in Poland too, I checked the prices cause I want to upgrade in a couple of months, 5 5600x is like $25-30 cheaper
Unless you plan on doing a lot of productivity work or streaming I can't see any justification for the 5700 over the 5600. Just my opinion.
Thank you for sharing. Almost all the market I visited I have seen 5700 is cheaper over 5600, so I can't see any justification for the 5700 over the 5600. Just my opinion.
@@basicallytroll2705 Thank you for sharing. In reality, 5700 will be a bit pricier, so if someone is really tight on budget, 5600 will offer some savings. Your isolated shitty anecdotal example is... shitty. Just my opinion.
@@Swift_Dinosaur, you don't have to be the most efficient always, that is a really good cpu nonetheless, you bought a really solid cpu and that's all that matter, hope you get to have fun with it, cheers bro 😊
in my country 5700X is 220$ and 5600 is 140$, do you think Ryzen 7 worth that extra amount of money?
Normally is a question of "in what can I invest that extra money?" if you already have a budget, since maybe a 20 or 50 bucks diff can let you get a better gpu, or if it's just a upgrade then think "for how much time will I still use this setup", if it's a long timw then invest now, if not then start saving, in my humble opinion of course, you are the one playing in the end so, yeah, make the most of it, whichever you choose ❤
What's with the power consumption and temperature in Red Dead Redemption? In all other tests the 5700x consumed more power and was almost at the same temperature, but in this one title it only uses 2/3 the power and runs 20°C cooler? That doesn't seem right.
Also: according to AMD's website both the 5600x and 5700x are 65W TDP.
probably the multithreading optimization at work, since the 5700x has more cores and more threads
TDP is essentially useless, it doesn't tell you anything about how the chip actually behaves under real conditions.
i think is driver issue
sometime i notice 5700x cpu frequency dipped while 5600x is always at max
Is upgrading from 5500 to 5700x worth it? Im gonna squeeze the AM4 so bad im gonna upgrade to AM5 when AM6 released..
Save up for 5700X3D imo it's betrer than 5800X3D because of price difference replying to your question, no it's not if you don't need pcie 4.0 for gpu of you don't know if pcie 3.0 is enough give your gpu name
@@Nazwatonazwa im using itx motherboard and favor power efficiency, thus im picking 65w cpu tier.. for the price of 5700x3d in my country, i can save up another $200 for b650+32gb ddr5+7500f.. the gpu is 4060ti
@@bard656no don’t upgrade from 5500 to 5700x it’s not worth it
Save some money and upgrade to am5
I have 5 4650g so i’m going to save some money to upgrade to am5,i don’t think there is a need to buy 5 5600x or even 7 5700x just to stay on am4 and the same zen
depends on the price but yes the cache on the 5500 is not much .. a cheap 5700x with overclock is a good choice to outperform Am4
"The R7 5700X has a TDP of 105W" It's a 65 W chip, so no.
Dude, I have 5700X. In games it had 75W for months, but now it eat about 100w power, max I saw is 120W.
@@luciferrocker6693yes, kinda, but its not that effective as curve optimization.
Planning to upgrade from ryzen 5 3500, what should i choose? The 5700x is almost 40$ more expensive than the 5600x. Pls help
If you are only going to play 5600x it is more than enough, but if you plan to stream 5700x
I wish you show the CPU power consumption too. As both rated 65w tdp
@@falafeladv oh, u right, sorry i'm not aware of it before.
I think I'll go for the 5700x since I see that it has a lot more performance in Pubg and very little more in other games
undervolted ryzen 5700x?
for those who want to know which one to buy 👇
if you have amd gpu buy 5600x
but if you have a nvidia gpu buy 5700x
@@jonpeley for Nvidia the better the cpu better the performance
But for amd they can run good on even mid range CPUs
how do you test processors, if in half of the games, you have an emphasis on the video card
Both tests use same GPU which means only variable is CPU . Heance difference
should I take the Ryzen 7 5700x if it costs X1.4 more than the Ryzen 5 5600x?
Nope. For gaming the less cores can clock up better which usually helps gamers. Vs using the same TDP power rating for 8 cores which means it needs to slow the max clocks down to power 8 not 6 cores. The 5700x is a great all arounder but unless it's about $20 or less than the 5600x you might just go the 6 core route. I learned first hand over these last couple of years how much more cores is a waste of energy and money when it comes to gaming. I went to the 5900x to replace my 5600x thinking it must help FPS as I was getting weird dips in FPS almost like a CPU bottleneck. There was next to no difference in the 5000 series. From the 5600 - 5950x they perform pretty close to each other making the 5600/5600x the best value CPU's for gamers. The 5700x though is a very worthy consideration as it usually is VERY close in price to the 5600 line. Also never get the 5500,5600G,5700G or 5700 as they have half the amazing L3 cache and only support PCIe 3.0. The plain 5600 is the lowest any gamer should buy.
@@komanderneak561 You’re very welcome. I have had the entire homes PCs on Ryzen 5000 series. I just upgraded two systems to AM5 which is pushing out a 5600 and 5600x onto the used market.
Keep in mind the 5700x is a great option if only a little more than the 5600x. The plain 5700 though should not be purchased as it’s a different cpu then the 5700x.
5600 - PCIe 4.0 - 32mb L3 cache
5600x - PCIe 4.0 - 32mb L3 cache
5700 - PCIe 3.0 - 16mb L3 cache
5700x - PCIe 4.0 - 32mb L3 cache
the 5700x have some weird issue
notice when the fps gain is minimal vs 5600x the power draw is lower and frequency is lower
its like it doesnt want to load or some shit
Кажется, для игр разница минимальна, и пересаживаться с 5600х на 5700х я не вижу смысла
Why % use of 3070 with 5700X is less and give more fps and % of 3070 with 5600x is more but give less fps?
Bottleneck.
More CPU Usage = Lesser GPU Usage (CPU Bottleneck)
Less CPU Usage = More GPU Usage
I wouldn’t really buy it now, but the 5700x was a great deal when I bought it a year and a half ago.
I mean if you're like me on a 2700x the 5700x is more enticing that the 5600x especially with the 65W TDP, as I want to move my ITX setup into an actual ITX case haha
and I only want the 5700x because of price to performance and I'm on AM4 I'll have to build a whole new PC someday anyways, so it be a nice upgrade for when this PC become #2 lol
That’s fair. I can’t speak to how much of a boost you’re going to get performance wise but 5700x works very well in my main build
@@davolthe1261 you guys just wanna reassure yourself but you were WRONG buying this ryzen 7 you think you need the extra core ??? You are running a server on your pc? You spent 100 extra bucks for nothing bro, r5 5600x is the way
What if I am upgrading from 3600?
im planing to ungrade from 3500x it's good upgrade in my opinion, keep in mind you motherboard bios should be updated in order to support newer CPUs
just ordered the 5700x for 130$ because that is close to 5600x price, upgrading from 5500
Nuh I thought these two would be similar but no the ryzen 5 5600x did even stand a chance
In some game more core will have better performance, beside for only 20$ difference then just go for r7 5700x, of course if you guy a better cpu then go for 5700x3D much better performance.
So glad I bought the 5700X over the 5600X. I have more GPU headroom as a result when I finally go to get one to replace my current 1660 Ti.
true as your gpu gets stronger 8 cores become necessary, but true for like 4060ti and below 6 cores is enough
Just more 10$ and you can get +100 fps in pubg. I guess ı can pay 10$
(İn my country)
Any explanation why (only) on RDR2 5700X consume much less power?
can anyone explain the diffrence in rainbow ? why is it the other way around
Such a small fps diffrence not worth the extra $20 for the 5700x
5700x usually has better 0.1% lows and it has more cores, which makes it better suited for more varied usage than just gaming. Also newer games tend to be able to use more and more cores, so it's probably going to be even better in the future. Definitely worth the 20$, just not enough to make it must-buy.
Wtf is this difference in pubg😂
5700X it's so overpriced ngl
i've just got 5700x
Weird how PUBG is having so much of a difference
Its a CPU demand Game , thats why , here you can clearly see that 5700x is much better
@@fabiosilva5894 but there are too many cpu intensive games and i never saw such differences with Lil bit of extra cores and threads
