Late to game. Cheers for the nice comments and kudos. Great demo. cheers, Alan P. Just a couple of observations. The Aggression Control when looked at alone is actually a fairly traditional master with a couple of small tweaks I did on the CA's. The Master Volume control is ultimately a post PI master, which as it happens works well in this design because its cathode biased. Its not power scaling at all, though it can tonally masquerade as that I suppose if you compare with a decent implementation of power scaling. I was actually not a fan of any kind of PPI MV but Mike convinced me to try it and it turned out it changed how my normal master volume responded in this design which would now only (but very usefully) control how hard the PI got hit, changing the 'aggressiveness' of the amp without adding a ton of odd order harmonic content. Much of tone people attribute to power tubes actually comes from the PI over driving in a very specific way. The result was essentially a traditional pre-amp centric master volume became a brand new control......It allows you to get a much more genuine power tube type OD at lower volume settings but with a balanced harmonic make-up so its doesn't sound brash or have that all too common harsh 2K spike.
Alan, thank you so much for your comment!! Your insight is so incredibly appreciated and we are honored that you would watch this demo and leave a comment! 🙏
Thank you friend. The real MVP of this video is Alec who took the time to type all of my rambling into the Closed Captions. I’m sure it was a test of both patience and virtue. Hopefully that effort will result in a pleasurable UA-cam experience for someone.😄
Fantastic question! To my ears the EMS is more classic British/Marshally. This is more Mesa (with the capability of doing the Marshall thing despite being a 6L6 based amp) high gain platform. It’s an amp that is capable of a ton of tones without a ton of knobs. Lots of low end CHUG that doesn’t translate through the iPhone speakers… it’s a monster amp!
CAZ 45 is a great amp and innovative bridging a lot of rock tones from early Zeppelin to metal short (imo) of modern Satan worship metal junk (thankfully) . But it lacks imo the dream cleans I also need such as in a carol ann satin or a fender deluxe blackface. But I don't know of a better rock amp. Plus it beats the two rock price tag.
Nate excellent demo. Great playing as well as showing the extreme versatility of the CAZ, thanks.
Thank you Dr Z!!! That means the world to me. I really appreciate you and your inspirational amplifiers. God bless you Mike, thanks again!

I miss the Triptik 2 oh so much. Best amp I ever played.
I can tell that you really like the versatility that amp offers. You were really having fun!

Love it Nate! Thanks for another great video.
Thanks Colin, I truly appreciate your encouragement! Feel free to share this or any of these other videos at your leisure❤️🙏
I LOVE THIS POWERHOUSE!
Thank ya friend! It’s a mighty fine amplifier and is certainly a powerhouse of tonal awesomeness. 👍
Nailed it!
Thank ya friend!
Nate in a Box!
😆😄😁 LOL
Man that's really versatile!! And that Trini Lopez!!!
Thanks brother!!! I appreciate you. Come by and check out the Trini. It’s a dandy!
Great playing and very fun video! Have you guys played the EMS at all? How does that compare to this? Thank you:)
