OMG! I cried, very emotional, our parents are our god, we should respect, honour, celebrate and love them no matter what, after all inu ikoko Dudu Leko funfun ti jade, awon lo se oloko wa wa saye. Kudos to Laide, good job, her mother is very good, she stood behind her husband kanpe. Funso Adeolu really tried in that role.. Welldone guys, love you all 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
its been a while i cried during a movie. our parents are our gods on this earth we should, love, cherish, respect and honour them. they should be celebrated no matter the circumstance.
Wow!!!!!!!!! a Yoruba movie with a poignant lesson!!!!! This doesn't happen often. Truth be told a lot of people will behave the way she acted towards her Dad as our culture is so anti disability. God bless Laide Bakare Orilowo for this movie and I hope she gets all the accolades she deserves for this movie. Well done to all actors and actresses in the movie.
this is marvelous.i don't really watching yoruba movies,it's one of my friends that forced me to watch it and it make me cry for real.............good job LaideBakere,FunshoAdeolu,AdeniyiJohnson,MadamFausatBalogun and others.
I have been watching 9Ja films for years I have never cried so much. I did cry. fantastic movie. im so touched. in every situation, I say Alhamdulillah. thanks so much for the upload.
Thumbs up Laide for this movie! Personally, this movie touched me. We are in a society where the differently abled individuals are seen as less human. It should not be so.I have a niece who was born with down syndrome and she has opened my eyes to see the world differently. They are fearfully and wonderdully made by God. Those of us who feel we are "complete" dont even have half of the love they have. We have eyes but cannot see,we can talk but cant communicate. I see this world differently through my niece and I am blessed to have her.
This movie is too emotional and it made me cry; I like the portrayal of Akanbi's wife which is a depiction of TRUE LOVE from a realist who encountered worst from men before meeting Akanbi. Akanbi displayed a good fatherly figure, he never allowed his disability to interfere with his responsibilities. We should all appreciate our parents because we don't get to choose who brings us to the world. Good job to cast and crew. Thanks for sharing.
My goodness, I wept. this movie is so touching. God is wonderful he didn't give us a choice to choose who our parents will be or the kind of family we will be born into.
Teni'Teni ekisa ta tan. no matter condition our parents they're still yours. dis firm make me cried a lot about my mother situation right nw, but I trust in God he will take control on her to see my happy day
this movie is lovely, now laide you acted your role so well, all the cast and crew were awesome the chemistry btwn acts was great and of course funso adeolu cant do no wrong in my eyes .cant stop watching this beautiful piece, well done all.
One could make Choice of whom to marry, friends or association, but of Father, Mother or Siblings, even family background no right of choice is available. We could only make the best of them by doing what we could to improve lives. Thanks for sharing this movie, Luv u
whaoooooooo, i so much love this movie, It been a longtym i watch Yoruba movie without thinkn have wasted my tym.......... but this movie is just an exception, i so much love it
One of the best movie have watched in the recent time. Whilst it can be very annoying seeing these kind of behaviour, its very commendable to see the mother stand firm behind her husband. I love that twist because not many mothers' in this modern day will stand firm like that and not succumb to their daughters.
Simply educative overwhelmig. she was lucky to av been forgiven by d guy tho. tot they'd say she was under some kind of curse to have hated her loving father dat much. so d guy has to be careful dat her natural hatred for handicaps won't surface again after marriage o.
I had to pause this movie to comment after the beautiful act by Madam fausat Balogun in scene 1:42:43. Overall this is one very educative and well acted movie for once. All the actors were very real and professional in their acting. Keep up the good work Laide Bakare.
fantastic movie, life sometimes is not fair, i knw someone who was dating a guy wift one eye but the guy loved her to pieces, she did not marry him but married someone else and its not same , nice movie cheers
Psalm 139:14 - The Psalmist says " I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well .... " Same God that created Shaq O'neal, created Kevin Hart ... It will cost him $0 to make everyone looks like Denzel Washington or Beyonce or Angelina Jolie but He decided not to do that, because varieties make the world sweet. Love your look, love that physique, love those disabilities you got because there is always purpose in those disabilities. May be Lionel Messi would have thought of playing basketball if he's very tall. Men, that would have been a disaster for football world if we do not see such a talent in this generation.
God want to let her learn her lessons in a hard way that's why her husband's mother is also ""This ability""....if she also refuses to still learn then God will now giver her double doze of " This ability""children
yes I enjoyed ths movie, althou' I don't think the topic really blends in with the story. The topic should be: Mo Dupe Temi, [like one reviewer made mentioned] Teni N Teni... something like that. And I assumed Funsho should have acted the young Akanbi without the powder on, it would be more catchy and interesting. Overall, its a beautiful line, well staged movie, I cant stop laughing at Laide and Fausat's part, well done to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+S. Gesture. u re right bout the title but wrong titles re done deliberately for suspense which i like. Powdered face was to match the wife's age,,cause he is way younger than her in real life, nice movie
Dreams, dreams, dreams. Why is it that all of a sudden most Yoruba movies are created with people waking up just to discover it was a dream. I wish real life could be like that so people can get to live their lives over and over again. Right now I'm got billions of dollars and 10 beautiful big ass African women all over me. Don't nobody wake me up.
Naija movies and their overkill. Top marks for the originality of the story line but that s about it for me. They got too dramatic and the story just doesn't seem realistic to me. Sometimes, less is more to tell a believable story 1) The final scene looked more romantic than parental reunion. Drinking from same glasses, so much body contact, I felt they were gonna kiss at some point self. 2) In real life, she is likely to pretend her parents are dead and elope with the guy than resort to kidnap. 3) Also in real life, a guy as principled as Abayomi will seriously hesitate to take her back. After all, he should be sceptical about her sudden change of heart (something she had decades to accept). Chances are she is only had a change of heart so he will marry her and she wont have to start over in the dating pool. People have done less desperate stuff in our society to become Mrs Somebody

+Larz i really like ur comment the last scene watered the movie it was like two lovers not well acted
selfish, prodigal daughter and she lost it all.
