Aosc2 what Micheal bay does with explosions, Nolan does with character development. Anyone that reads books as a hobby knows that in order to be engaged enough to finish a book, it has to have interesting characters with likable traits.

Guy Pierce is a great actor. Incredibly underrated and criminally underused. L.A. Confidential was his first big movie and what a great movie that was.

This honest trailers is brilliant. Its in reverse, but not true reverse, as some comments come after other comments that should come after said before comments. Much like the movie!
Ugh, Guy Pearce's face is sheer perfection. Seriously, it's perfect in every movie he is in, but this is the pinnacle. It should be illegal to be that effing gorgeous.

Memento is not just moving backwards it actually going to the middle of the story. Flashbacks in the film move forward. Brilliant film

I had to watch this twice to realize it was in reverse... wow I'm slow. Anyway, absolutely LOVE this. Memento is one of my favorite movies but seeing it being poked fun at was hilarious. Especially the points about Leonard's frosted blond hair, he & his wife not seeming to have a great relationship in the first place, all the times he mentions "I have this condition..." (that probably wasn't even all of them, but I can't remember), the fact that if you reverse the movie it's just about a guy making a phone call and killing someone... Excellent.

No, because the movie wasn't playing in reverse, it showed scenes normally but the scenes were not chronologically correct (they were inversed). The whole backwards talking at the start of this video was faulty.

*Objectively it is a good film but for me it had some great cinematic moments like Xanadu or Rosebud but the narrative felt and directing felt off. Worth a watch nonetheless.

It actually makes sense for him to know about his condition. Anterograde amnesiacs are severely impaired in creating new memories, but it's not completely lost. They can still create new implicit memories. e.g. if you tell the same joke to someone with anterograde amnesia, they'll find it less and less funny, even though they can't explicitly remember it. It probably took Leonard a while, but he eventually realized that something was wrong with him.

I was one of those hipsters who saw Memento in the local art theater, literally before Christopher Nolan was cool. Though i can't brag about seeing Following until several years later on Netflix.
Also, Jonathan Nolan created Person of Interest, so that guy is okay in my book with or without his brother.
