Until Jack Killed it, plastics i can understand breaking when cold like that, more disappointed in the outdrive cup snapping in half
It held up at the skatepark longer than any wltoys I've ever taken to one. I've taken two wltoys to the skatepark, jumped one ramp with each car, broke both cars on the first jump. Not sure if 250 USD is quite worth it for the rlaarlo, but it's not far off. It really got some serious sir though and took the landings pretty well. Rlaarlo is improving fast as a brand.
Interesting as the 124016 and 124018 we have both held up really well at the skate park, didn't break either of them. Do love this little buggy and love what Rlaarlo are doing and how they listen and improve the cars etc, just the price comes out too high for what is in essence a budget RC, in the UK by the time import VAT is paid this would be $300
@@HardcoreRC OMG 300? You're right, that is just way too much for that buggy, but as you said, rlaarlo does seem to put effort into improving based on consumer reviews which is great to see. As far as wltoys, they give the most bang for buck as far as speed, I just have bad luck with them, either that or I just can't drive. I do love them though. Happy Holidays to you!
I bought 2 of these and both had the same issue. It's the same issue that the WL-toys buggies have. The front wheels are so loose that its almost impossible to launch the buggy and for it to go straight under full power. The durability is way stronger than the WL-toys versions but if it doesnt go straight, there is no point. Spend the extra $100 and get a quality brand.

Think it would do well in the summer and be a good little basher, not really a skate park car to be honest. But they need to get that price down to maximum of $175 parts are all available from Rlaarlo website direct, I'm going to order the bits i need and see how long they take to arrive, plus the WLtoys parts should fit unless its a Rlaarlo specific part like the carbon chassis etc

As a racing buggy it will likely do well, Unfortunately we don't have any carpet race tracks near me to try, my biggest issue with the car is the full price - at $249 its just to expensive as its up in the range of the LC racing price, HardcoreRC discount code will give you 20% off but you may get hit with import tax. Think a fair price for the car would be somewhere around the $175 mark
@@HardcoreRC nice thanks for the info, we race the losi mini b and mini t and we have plenty of those in the states, I got a losi mini b with a mini castle system in it and it rips , checkout hobbytown hobbyplex on UA-cam that's where I race carpet and dirt, we have both tracks that are huge, I'm spoiled for sure having those tracks in one place, we host national 1/10 dirt races and carpet races
@@midwestboss8808 Will check it out, wish we did have smoke carpet racing tracks, especially this time of the year when its cold and wet outside, but guess we cant have everything, im lucky to have a good drift track near me and also various different groups to go bashing with.

Don’t worry Jono, it was the car trying. I accidentally knocked my father over with my XMAXX in the early days of owning it didn’t realise he walked out into the line I was driving it down. Let’s say he wasn’t walking properly for almost a month as a result

@@teamjono69 definitely oops 🙈🙈 let’s just say now when we are out with the cars, we stand by each other and if a car rolls over we stop activity till the other one is back on its four wheels and back in position (including the XMAXX, I don’t push that red button anymore, ended up replacing the wheel sets twice since the originals)

Got mine and was missing a front shock bushing. Waiting on Rlaarlo to respond but other than that, it's a well made for the $150 price

It was a bargain at $149 but as you say $250 is too much as then have to add the import VAT
If you’re going to stick with that motor with such low kv you’re going to have to gear up as much as you can and if that’s not enough try taller road tyres to get the extra gearing out of them. Also the biggest mah battery possible helps . I went from 7000 to 15000 on 3s and gained 7km top end on grass. Good luck you’re learning a lot
Thanks - not really looking to make this one go fast as we have the 1/14th scale for that with a 3.5 turn motor, mod1 gears, foam tires etc - just need to find somewhere to run it now 😂

obviously this is not a basher and as such it is perfect for the price, the fact you guys properly destroyed it does not make it unworthy....!
Didnt say it was unworthy, actually like the car, just that the price is too high at full asking of $249.99 then once you have to pay the import tax as well your looking at $300 for a budget RC car, also some of the spares you can only get from Rlaarlo

They’re definitely a fun car they’re fast and pretty durable. I’ve been having a lot of fun with mine. The only thing I’ve broke so far was the front shock tower. Great video guys and merry Christmas!

Yeah its a nice car and nice upgrades over the WLToys, but price is just to high, with Import VAT to UK makes it £250
@@HardcoreRC I won’t worry about getting one as I have the typhon 6s and a HSP Warhead nitro buggy, probably better off getting the FTX Vantage brushless, £40 cheaper and bigger, not to mention shipped in the UK 👍
Why do you all insist on skate parks and when they break say they aren't durable enough.
Skate Parks are a good test of what a car will and wont be able to do, we could drive the car round a field all day but that wouldn't really test it and would be pretty boring to watch, didn't say it wasn't durable enough I said it could be more durable, didn't expect an outdrive to sheer in half, have tested a number of budget RC cars the same way and never broken an outdrive.

Yeah i realised that then doing to edit - meant 30 mm 😂 we do these sorts of things so you don't have to, just gives and idea of what the car can and cant do. Deffo a nice buggy and a bargain if you got for the pre-order $149 price, but $249 is too much

My recommendation is that you don't buy anything from this brand, I bought the AK 917 in carbon fiber for my son, and these sons of bitches from Rlaarlo sent me the car with the steering wrong, and when I go to adjust it I realize that it There is a screw missing from the servo horn, and when I removed the servo horn I realized that the small teeth it has are completely worn out, this is because the materials they use are garbage, apart from the signal loss problems with the controller Rlaarlo is a mafia now I have my poor son suffering for not being able to use the car, and the worst of all is that Rlaarlo's sons of bitches don't want to take care of it, and the car is less than a month old and has not been used nor a battery for the simple fact that with the steering like this it is unusable.
Sorry to hear this, i haven't had any dealing with them for over a year now, doesn't sound great though, did you pay via paypal or credit card ? go through paypal or your CC to get money back
