No. They dont work with wifi - only BT. And yes, you can u DYI mode change and make your own scene However they don't last long and you will toss them out soon :(
For Christmas tree you'll need at least 200 lights, so keep that in mind. What I like about these style of lights is they don't tangle light old fashioned Xmas tree lights.
I recently purchased these, but the 6.5ft version. The remote is IR based and you need to point the little bulb at the USB part to make the changes (like a TV remote). Also the app is really not that great it's very slow to respond sometimes via bluetooth and not all the scene functions seem to work every time they're set. It's kind of frustrating to use sometimes.
I just received these lights but I don't know how to install them. I am planniing on putting them on the outside of my house. Don't know how to do that. Can you help me please. I would so appreciate it. Also can I add more strings on the first string to continue around my home? IF so, HOW. There is no noticable connection on other end. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Carol Smith
Hello! These lights connect to the power cable and they do not connect to another set directly, you would need to tape them together to connect around your house. The lights will not sink together unless you change the lights to the same setting for the both strings of lights.

The end did not have a connector, but you can tape the end lights to another lights
I just purchased these for my niece's cheer box, I was going to sink them into the wood via a router. How thick is the wire?
