    Fantastic !! I'll have 5 sets soon, and I couldn't get the most expensive ones to pull out of the leather right. Thanks for this !!

      How much did you pay for your “most expensive ones”

      @@AlexanderMason1 I think..15$ to 20$ a piece, so 50$ 60$ for a set of 3 and got a 4mm & 5mm. Not too bad. Kyoshin elle. Ended up going with Kemovan LOVE them !

      @@AlexanderMason1 The Kemovan site I got some Sweet D2 steel tools, some with wood choices. The irons come as a nice set of 4 for 40$, and Artisan Leather is reselling them after he gives them a Professional polish and rebranding. Very nice ! 👌

    I find particular strains of weed makes me do this sort of thing.
    Really is a win-win for me.

    Nice, now I have to get me a burr and some sandpaper disks

      Well, a file and some sandpaper strips should work as well if your files aren't as rough as mine.

      You’re welcome. It’s called the jeweler’s rouge. It’s basically a polishing compound.

    Simpler:- jewellers peg and a Leatherman diamond file.... strop to finish. Turns cheap China made irons into something very good.

    • @glacialimpala
      @glacialimpala 9 місяців тому

      Are there different grits of the diamond file? I assume it's for rough sharpening, mine just needs stroping but I can't physically get in between teeth on a French style iron

      @GriffMJ 9 місяців тому +1

      @@glacialimpala 4mm Japanese style pricking irons .... Leatherman Wave+ diamond file can get between the prongs with room. I have filed my cheap 4mm & 5mm to a smooth finish with the Leatherman file. The irons now glide through the leather like a pro made set.

    • @glacialimpala
      @glacialimpala 9 місяців тому

      And you don't use any polishing after the file? Thank you, mine are very sharp but I need some polishing for maintenance... When they were new I didn't need a hammer at all. @@GriffMJ

    after how many days you sharp these?

    • @eternal_leather_goods
      @eternal_leather_goods  3 роки тому +2

      I actually don’t sharpen them at all. The intention was to remove the factory rough factory machining surfaces. Never had to re-sharpen irons at all.
