      You did a good deed. This was a very dangerous situation if it had passed, but it's not over yet. Someone who proposes such a thing should be punished, it's a very bad thing to propose in my opinion.
      Russians could learn a thing or two from other countries like Georgia and Ukraine in terms of citizens demanding more from their politicians. If only they got off of their high horse for one second, and started fixing the problems in their country instead of embracing them as part of their culture... Anyways, hope you're feeling better after all that. Love from Germany ✌

      Georgian here. The Ruler party attended the meeting, but obstained from voting. Those 35 votes are actually from the opposition parties in the Parliament. So, unfortunately, the government didn't fully support the decision still

    • @MrIkaGeo
      @MrIkaGeo Рік тому +8

      @@djchristian82 Fair question, though topic. First, the current government was voted for 10 years ago, under very different circumstances. Second, this turn against the 'Western agents' happened in a matter of the last weeks, before that the government, to be honest, was more or less pro-European/pro-EU. Third, the government still positions itself as 'pro-EU' on the surface level, with the PM putting the 'closer to the EU' internet campaign just in the day when they passed the bill. Despite the EU institutions saying that the bill would deteriorate the relations between Georgia and the EU

      @@MrIkaGeo Firstly last parliament election in Georgia was in 2020. So current government wasn't voted for 10 years ago but 2 years ago. Second it's not turn against ''western agents'' but foreign, so it includes Russia also.

      @MrIkaGeo Рік тому +7

      @@YuVVarez I oversimplified it a lot, but the party has had the absolute majority since late 2012, so it's very difficult to vote them out since there hasn't been any major political power to rival them. About the Russia thing - Russia has been an only country that expressed sadness and concern over the drop of this bill.

    • @boozolini4465

      @@YuVVarezthen how comes that EU was concerned with the proposal while russians are upset with the current outcome? I agree 100%
    All countries should turn a blind eye to foreign monies coming in.
    Imagine if a foreign entity was to fund a politicians campaign with millions of dollars and have to report it.
    Imagine a european politician taking bribes from a country over a soccer match and having to declare that
    Its shocking

      They do have nothing to do with the government. Just want to influence politics in the way, they think humanity has a future.
