As a Georgian who's been on the 'frontlines' of those days, teargassed and peppersprayed on several occasions, thank you for covering this!
You did a good deed. This was a very dangerous situation if it had passed, but it's not over yet. Someone who proposes such a thing should be punished, it's a very bad thing to propose in my opinion.
Russians could learn a thing or two from other countries like Georgia and Ukraine in terms of citizens demanding more from their politicians. If only they got off of their high horse for one second, and started fixing the problems in their country instead of embracing them as part of their culture... Anyways, hope you're feeling better after all that. Love from Germany ✌
Hi, America here, our country is going to get your country destroyed the same way it did Ukraine. Take warning.
Congratulations! Unfortunately here in Russia all protests are illegal, the government is illegitimate and there are no legal means to overthrow it. Fascist russian regime must be stopped, it threatens everyone around and its own people most of all.
you haven't been watered enough... and they peppered you badly...
Best wishes to you and a freeGeorgia 🤍❤️🇬🇧
Congrats to the people of Georgia from Canada🇨🇦

The irony of this comment! Canada will pass the same bill!! Jesus christ..
@@andreksjourKeep crying like a baby. You've been crying for years since your favourite politician lost the elections. Why don't your political party occupy another city and bully the locals?
@@FallenMonk55 Bro you have issues, get off the internet. You know nothing about me.
🤣 Canada is introducing the exact same law! Go on go protest your transparency law 🤣
35 to 1 is decisive. Anywhere in the world, on any topic, getting 35 of 36 people (politicians no less) to agree is impressive. Well done Georgia. Cheers.
Georgian here. The Ruler party attended the meeting, but obstained from voting. Those 35 votes are actually from the opposition parties in the Parliament. So, unfortunately, the government didn't fully support the decision still
@@djchristian82 Fair question, though topic. First, the current government was voted for 10 years ago, under very different circumstances. Second, this turn against the 'Western agents' happened in a matter of the last weeks, before that the government, to be honest, was more or less pro-European/pro-EU. Third, the government still positions itself as 'pro-EU' on the surface level, with the PM putting the 'closer to the EU' internet campaign just in the day when they passed the bill. Despite the EU institutions saying that the bill would deteriorate the relations between Georgia and the EU
@@MrIkaGeo Firstly last parliament election in Georgia was in 2020. So current government wasn't voted for 10 years ago but 2 years ago. Second it's not turn against ''western agents'' but foreign, so it includes Russia also.
@@YuVVarez I oversimplified it a lot, but the party has had the absolute majority since late 2012, so it's very difficult to vote them out since there hasn't been any major political power to rival them. About the Russia thing - Russia has been an only country that expressed sadness and concern over the drop of this bill.
@@YuVVarezthen how comes that EU was concerned with the proposal while russians are upset with the current outcome? That same law was proposed by Hungarian government and ended the same way because it is fully inspired by russia lackeys to obtain an equivalent control of the society, hence the Georgians rightful protest.
Imagine launching several different invasions into neighboring countries in the last 30 years. Then crying "russophobia" when said countries start looking for new partnerships and alliances. The muscovite mind is truly a conundrum lol.

How does a foreign registration bill interfere with freedom. The United States had the same law. This bill would increase freedom by showing the all Georgians ngos and companies are CIA proxy and US funded.
GEORGIA CANNOT BECOME MEMBER OF EUROPEAN UNION BECAUSE EU IS SUBORDONNATE TO UNITED STATES AND WOULD BECOME A DANGER FOR RUSSIA. IF GEORGIA MAKE A STEP TOWARD EU OR NATO, RUSSIA WILL HAVE TON INVADE THE COUNTRY TO PROTECT ITSELF.
this is what protest looks like, this is also what putin fears... he has never had his own people in mind, he's only created a situation for him to keep power till he dies.

The US government is actually using the name of the continent to its citizens and country. We are US citizens and citizens of the United States. Everyone in North America Central America South America the Americas the American continent is an American like Asia are Asians Africa are Africans and Europe are Europeans. What happened first? The United States of America or the American continent? The United States of America became a nation on the date of July 4th of 1776 and the whole entire continent was already named America after Amerigo Vespucci in the year 1507 that's 269 years difference way before the United States of America became a nation. Europe has 50 countries Asia has 51 countries Africa has 54 countries Oceania has 14 countries and America is not a country America is a continent of 35 countries in total. Why are people not educated about America?

2:40 If Kremlin is not happy about it and complaining, than we know how much control they have over the current government and how "good" the bill was for the Georgian people.
They control the politicians from other countries through corruption. They teach the politicians how to control the important sectors of the country, like energy, railways, airports etc. Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Georgia, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus are ones of them.
