After 22 years of working the door, at many different bars, my favorite way of catching a fake ID is as follows. I rarely see someone who has a fake come up to the door by themselves. They are typically the next to last, or last in the group. All I do is ask them if the others if they are together. When they say yes, I ask their friends what their name is. The friends rarely know what the name on their ID is.

The business owner can lose his/her license to sell alcohol as well. So in these cases losing a little business is far better than losing your whole business.

As a Head of Security and a manager of a Large nightclub I can assure you that we don't want that kind of business. Having minors and inexperienced drinkers are a lot more trouble then its worth, plus with the potential fines and licensing issues it can cause if caught... it's just not worth the risk.

Just wanted to point out that unless they change the rules on October 1, 2020, you will still be able to fly without a Real ID. You will just receive the pat-down that those passengers that show up with no ID currently receive. Your property that you are carrying through the checkpoint will also be gone through more thoroughly than if you show up and have the Real ID. It will be more of a hassle obviously if you don’t have the Real ID, but you can get through without it.

I had a friend who had a fake Indian reservation ID card. One time she almost got caught but then head of security came over and started lecturing the guys questioning the card about how there are other forms of ID.
Also bend the card and touch the edges. Most fakes I have encountered and bent will have their coating immediately start peeling and start separating off the ID like it was shoved through a simple laminate process and didn't mend with the card specificity the middle of the card.
I'd avoid that amount of bending. Some states like tennessee are very pliable and a real ID will bend that much just fine. Whereas a legit Kentucky ID would snap in half 9/10 times you tried bending it like that. But bending to some degree is very useful once you're used to knowing how certain states cards should feel.
Because you can pay someone to get liquor for you, or go find Marco at Sonic, toss em a hundred to two hundred bucks (depending on how much he likes you), then bam liquor and club access all you want, whenever.

Some of these are still bad indicators. Mississippi and Louisiana IDs, places where I've lived, don't have laser perforations. Another thing is that my pre-Real ID act Mississippi ID didn't scan on smartphone apps as valid, and they consistently called the ID fake and I once had to get my car registration to corroborate the information on the ID. Not all of these tips are correct, so just take this with a grain of salt.

Sorry I am an artist who used to do these and passports, I never had anyone get caught but I do live in PA I kept up with all the particulars and with someone in the dmv for certain period of time people were able to do moderately difficult fraud. I quit a while ago but if I did it again I am sure I would have the same results.

Also bend the card and touch the edges. Most fakes I have encountered and bent will have their coating immediately start peeling and start separating off the ID like it was shoved through a simple laminate process and didn't mend with the card specificity the middle of the card.
I'd avoid that amount of bending. Some states like tennessee are very pliable and a real ID will bend that much just fine. Whereas a legit Kentucky ID would snap in half 9/10 times you tried bending it like that. But bending to some degree is very useful once you're used to knowing how certain states cards should feel.

Some of these are still bad indicators. Mississippi and Louisiana IDs, places where I've lived, don't have laser perforations. Another thing is that my pre-Real ID act Mississippi ID didn't scan on smartphone apps as valid, and they consistently called the ID fake and I once had to get my car registration to corroborate the information on the ID. Not all of these tips are correct, so just take this with a grain of salt.

Sorry I am an artist who used to do these and passports, I never had anyone get caught but I do live in PA I kept up with all the particulars and with someone in the dmv for certain period of time people were able to do moderately difficult fraud. Interesting video with the exception that AGAIN, you make your narration image the focus of each entry after about 2 seconds of a full image. You don’t do this for all of your videos, I just checked the last few. Unless you need, or have something remarkable to show, you should have your image the postage size on each entry or, not at all. Yes, I could pause the video at each entry to see what you will eventually talk about on the entry but if you point out something interesting on an entry it’s tough to see it on such a small reduced image, especially on an iPhone.
