Wow. This cover is great and I actually like it better than the theme in the game (I did prefer the day theme for this town). This game's soundtrack has to be the best JRPG music I have heard in a long time.
The performance is wonderful. I've listened to all of your Octopath Traveler 2 performances, but I keep coming back to this one. Perhaps it's because my parents are Chinese, and it evokes a nostalgic feeling of China.
I don't know if I like where your question comes from / is going BUT Honest answer: rent and obligatory living expenses force would-be artists to get "real" (really shitty) jobs instead of practice and perfect their art to beautiful and impractical levels of detail and mastery. Not industrialization per se (less labor on food & essentials = more free time), but our current global system of "always be productive" capitalism is the culprit. Support basic universal income ✊ let artists live and breathe their art and be poor, instead of homeless.
