I have this im not a business user i bought it for day to day use at home. Got it second hand from an ebay business company but its literally new. Loving it so far ,has a decent battery, matte screen so can use this outdoor, touchscreen(which is useful for some users), good screen contrast and saturation and i got it under £400 pounds. Can't get many laptops like this for that price albeit it is slightly used.
My work gave me a basic Latitude clamshell laptop nothing fancy. it's a battery champ and I have no problem with connectivity at home. I am impressed with it.
I was issued a Latitude 5400 for work. It has the i5-8365U with a boost clock of 4.1GHz and 16GB of ram. Knocks the socks off my old ThinkPad T430, but I still prefer that old Lenovo!
Nice review. Any word on getting loaner/review units for any AMD 4000 series laptop? Really wish you could review some of the laptops with the new AMD processors since you do such a good job reviewing the Intel based units.
Clear that Lisa didn't remove the SSD heatsink, otherwise she would have mentioned the 2230 drive. At least the chassis allows 2280 too, unlike 7200 2-in-1 where you are screwed in terms of aftermarket upgrades.
I do not reccomend this model, I had bought one and had it overheat to the point of permanent black screen, from very mediocre low-power tasks. Dell didn't offer a refund and only gave me a replacement. The current one is very finicky and the battery life is only an hour. Just want to warn people, this is not the laptop to go for. :( On the contrary I quite like your style (talking to MobileTechReview) and your videos really are fantastic and informative. This comment is not intended as a swing on you, just want to inform from my personal experience with this model :)
honestly i have a much less powerful 3570k and I still do cad design and all that sort of stuff on it. these kind of processors are really good enough for a lot of work say coding running pcb design software etc
i wish you tested the ubs-c chargers with a bunch of random chargers like phone chargers. and maybe a 30w charger and some random other higher watt chargers to see if they are compatible since i've seen some companies not implement it correctly
chargers meaning cords? either way it should be stated what it's capable of. i think it should do at worst 15w charging, 30w is PD or 'power delivery' and TB3 is up to 100w
The thing that bothers me with Dell of recent years is their cheapening of cooling solutions. Even on the XPS special edition that use a somewhat standard intel cooler that will indeed throttle underload. Hint:Remove that heatsink/fan and replace with an Optiplex sff heatsink and fan combo, problem solved. But why should a consumer need to do that when their engineering department should have gotten that right from the start. I am sure XPS customers would be willing to part with a few more bucks over the pain of a sub $2,000 dollar tower throttling. It just makes no sense even from a warrantee stand point. Fast CPUs produce a lot of heat, that heat has to go somewhere, might as well develop a way to get rid of it effectively rather then save a few cents and in the world of laptops it's even more critical. I love Dell, huge fan, and a proud customer. All of my hardware is from Dell, because they make some of the best hardware, ready to go that money can buy. But this huge mistake can't be ignored. I would not be very balanced by not mentioning it.

My favorite panel is the 4K in the not too popular 2 in 1 9575. Compared to both the 4K 9570 and newer 7590, that 9575 just has sharper and more vivid colors. I’d like to see this matte 2 in 1 in person.
I agree, the 4k screen of the xps 15 9575 is very impressive. I have an xps 13 from 2015, but when you compare the 2 screens, the difference is night and day. The only problem of the 9575 is its fragility (I had to replace the motherboard 2 times). Once you put this problem aside, I think it's the most beautiful 2 in 1, 15 inch laptop, I am aware of. I hope dell will release one day a successor for this laptop.
When this thing is in tablet mode and I'm walking around with it, because I need to do that in my business, is there something to cover the keyboard and protect it and my arm? Would be great to have a flat surface while I carry it and work on it.
