Natures Art Gallery [Guided Nature Play]

Elementary Teacher and Early Childhood Educator training resource, from the 'Re-connecting With Nature Workshop'. This 'Connection' activity combines the structure of a formal activity with the open-ended, imaginative style of free play--all while appreciating and discovering nature!

Premis:
Your students are invited to the grand opening of a special Nature Art Gallery! However, on your way to the forest gallery entrance, a frazzled and distressed artist appears. All of their beautiful Nature Art has been lost in shipment and they don't know what to do! After showing your students an example art piece, the eccentric artist asks for help. Can you'r students put their creativity to the test and fill an entire gallery with their own 'Nature Art' creations in time for the grand opening?
Props needed:
-Artist Costume:
(Be creative, use what you already have! A paint brush, an old apron and a colourful hat are more than enough, but let your imagination run wild!)
